Zhabei Church in Shanghai break and as a Christian as “Hongkou Elders’, was founded in 1888, has been 115 years ago.
The church was originally the North American Presbyterian missionaries Fanyue Han and Chen Chih-Valley Elder presided.

Introduction of Zhabei Church

History

In 1894, Yu Guozhen was appointed pastor ministry, ministry presided over thirty years. Yu Chinese church pastor advocated independence, to get rid of foreign control.
1904, Haining Road in donations to launch the construction of faithful church homes, known as “self-Ning Road Shanghai Beihai Presbyterian Hall.”
1914, Haining Road houses for sale, Commercial Press in Zhabei District Po channel was built near the new church, renamed the “self-Presbyterian Hall in Zhabei.” Zhabei Church since 1927, changed its name to “CCC Zhabei Church.”
In 1927, the third armed uprising in Shanghai workers, working in the Commercial Press Zhabei Church believers to join with other workers uprising, young believers Chen Anfang in to rescue the wounded, the unfortunate death, leaving only a daughter was born six months.
1932 Zhabei fire hall was destroyed in the Japanese aggressors.
Rebuilt in 1936, August 13, 1937, Zhabei hall fire again destroyed by the Japanese imperialists, the re-built until 1947. After the birth of New China, Zhabei Christians to participate in the Christian Church, “Three-Self” Patriotic Movement, to achieve the dream of church independence.
In 1958, Zhabei District, the Christian churches of different denominations of joint, combined within the 16 churches in Zhabei Church, to achieve the unity of the Church in China. Ten years of chaos, the church was forced to stop activities, Zhabei factory hall was occupied. The second half of 1981 to recover the Zhabei Church Hall, renovated in July 1982 re-Church.
In October 1987, has built a new hall and offices.
In 1996, in order to meet Pengpu Christian, religious needs, but also in Linfen Road No. 1555 Church built Zhabei sub Church “Lingquan Church.”
