5 Days Huangshan Yellow Mountain and Wuyuan Photo Tour

Your guide will wait you at the lobby of the Hotel (or Railway Station, Bus Terminal, Huangshan Airport), then we will drive about 1 hour to Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain). Next we will take the cable car to the peak. We will visit Shixin Peak to view the ancient pine trees. And enjoy the sunset glow at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion in the evening.

Morning Transfer to Yellow Mountain:

Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

Departure to Yellow Mountain: After breakfast, your guide will escort you to the base of Yellow Mountain (approximately 1 hour by car). Upon arrival, you will take the cable car up to the mountain’s summit, which offers stunning views from the very beginning.

Exploring Yellow Mountain:

Shixin Peak: Upon arrival at the summit, the first stop will be Shixin Peak, where you will encounter some of the ancient pine trees that have become symbols of Yellow Mountain. The views here are spectacular for photography.

Xihai Grand Canyon: You’ll be led to the Xihai Grand Canyon, a breathtaking area with dramatic cliffs, tranquil lakes, and deep gorges.

Cloud-dispelling Pavilion: In the afternoon, enjoy a walk through the scenic areas, culminating at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the famous sunset glow over the mountain's peaks.

Overnight Stay at Mountain Summit:

Accommodation: Stay overnight at one of the hotels on the summit, such as Paiyunlou Hotel (3-star), Beihai Hotel (4-star), or the luxurious Xihai Hotel (New Wing) (5-star).

Meals: Lunch is served on the mountain at a local restaurant. For dinner, enjoy a simple meal with a spectacular view.

We will get up early in the morning to enjoy the magical sunrise and the sea of clouds.

After breakfast, we will visit Bright Summit, which is the second highest on the mountain. And we will view Flying-over Rock. After this, we get down to the mountain by cable car.

Then drive back to downtown. And visit Huangshan Museum, where we can explore the traditional Chinese architecture. And we will stroll on the Ancient Street.

At end, the guide will transfer you to the Hotel in downtown Huangshan city.

Early Morning Sunrise:

Wake-up Call: Early risers will be treated to the magical sight of the sunrise over the peaks of Yellow Mountain. The ever-changing sea of clouds creates a mystical and photogenic view.

Bright Summit: After sunrise, visit the Bright Summit (the second highest peak of Yellow Mountain) for an even more stunning view of the surrounding area.

Exploring Further:

Flying-over Rock: The next stop is the Flying-over Rock, a natural phenomenon where a large rock appears to hover precariously over the abyss below. It’s a fantastic place for unique photographs.

Descending the Mountain:

After a full day of exploration, take the cable car back down the mountain and return to Huangshan city by car.

Huangshan Museum:

Upon arrival in Huangshan city, visit the Huangshan Museum, a modern museum that offers insight into the region’s history, culture, and art.

Ancient Street: If time permits, take a leisurely stroll through the Ancient Street for a glimpse of local life, traditional shops, and handicrafts.

Accommodation: Return to the hotel for your overnight stay. Options include Rongding Hotel, Tiandu International Hotel, or Huangshan International Hotel.

Meals: Enjoy a local lunch before your return. Dinner can be enjoyed at a nearby restaurant or back at your hotel.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Yi county. And visit Xidi and Hongcun Villages, where we can explore the traditional Chinese architecture. Both villages are UNESCO World Heritage Sites (2000) and the filming spot of the famous Oscar-award film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. These two villages are the most representative local-style(buffalo-shape) residences in southern Anhui Province.

At end, the guide will transfer you to the Hotel in downtown Huangshan city.

Morning Departure to Yi County:

Breakfast at the hotel.

Travel to Yi County: After breakfast, drive to Yi County (about 1 hour by car), where Xidi and Hongcun villages are located.

Exploring Xidi and Hongcun Villages:

Xidi Village: Explore Xidi, a village that exemplifies Huizhou architecture, with its narrow winding streets and traditional white-washed buildings. The village is home to many historic homes, many of which feature elaborate wooden carvings.

Hongcun Village: After Xidi, head to Hongcun, another village known for its buffalo-shaped layout, a tranquil pond reflecting the traditional buildings around it, and its scenic backdrop of mountains. This village is famous for its role in the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Lunch and Traditional Culture:

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving Anhui cuisine.

After lunch, continue exploring the villages, visiting several traditional Huizhou-style houses, and learning about the local culture and history.

Return to Huangshan City:

After a full day of exploration, return to Huangshan City.

Accommodation: Stay overnight at your selected hotel in downtown Huangshan.

Meals: Enjoy dinner in the city, perhaps at a restaurant specializing in Anhui cuisine.

After breakfast, we will drive 80km from Huangshan city to Wuyuan County, Jiangxi. It is reputed as the most beautiful countryside in China. And we will visit Likeng, Wangkou, Xiaoqi, and Jiangwan at the Wuyuan.

At the end of the tour, the guide will transfer you to the Hotel in downtown Huangshan city (or Railway Station, Bus Terminal, Huangshan Airport).

Morning Drive to Wuyuan County:

Breakfast at the hotel.

Wuyuan County: After breakfast, take a 2-hour drive (approximately 80 km) to Wuyuan County, located in Jiangxi Province. Known as the "most beautiful countryside in China", Wuyuan is a serene and picturesque area famous for its rural landscape, ancient architecture, and vibrant flowers.

Explore the Villages of Wuyuan:

Likeng Village: Start your exploration in Likeng Village, one of the most famous villages in Wuyuan. This village is known for its ancient stone bridges, traditional homes, and tranquil scenery.

Wangkou, Xiaoqi, and Jiangwan Villages: These charming villages are scattered throughout the region, each with unique architecture, scenic beauty, and photogenic views. The calm rivers and lush greenery make it a photographer’s paradise.

Lunch and Departure:

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Wuyuan.

Afterward, your guide will transfer you back to Huangshan City (or Huangshan Airport/Railway Station), where your tour will conclude.

End of Services:

Depending on your departure time, you will be dropped off at your hotel, Huangshan Railway Station, or Huangshan Airport for your onward journey.
