Huangshan Transportation

The transportation network in Huangshan is developed. It has Huangshan Airport; it has convenient railway lines; Within the city area, there are subways, city buses, taxis and many other transport conveniences for passengers to choose from.

By Flight

The airport offers domestic flights from Huangshan to Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xian, Zhuhai, Guilin, Jinan, Hefei, Fuzhou, Xiamen and Chengdu, along with other less popular cities. The airport is also served by two regional airlines offering flights to Hong Kong and Macau. There are no direct international flights to Huangshan

How to get to airport?

There are Taxicab and bus service to get there. Bus service is provided between the hours of 06:40 and 17:50 only. Two bus lines service the airport-the No.17 and No.18.

By train

The Anhui-Jiangxi Railway was completed in 1982, and has stations in Jixi County, She County, Tunxi District, Xiuning County, and Qimen County. From the main Huangshan City Railway Station in Tunxi, there is direct train service to Nanjing, Shanghai, Bengbu, Huaibei, Qingdao and Beijing among other cities the north, and points to the south including Jingdezhen, Yingtan, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Kunming.

Now the Hefei-Fuzhou Passenger Designated Railway Line and the Hangzhou-Huangshan High Speed Railway makes Huangshan become a high-speed rail junction.Travel to Hefei, Nanjing, and Hangzhou is a very easy and convenient thing.

There are two railway stations in the city:

Huangshan Railway Station only operates ordinary trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Kunming and so on.

Huangshan North Railway Station is the junction point of Huangshan-Shanghai and Beijing-Fuzhou High Speed Rail Lines. It mainly operates bullet trains to/from Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Jinan, Hefei, Xiamen etc.

Road

Huangshan is now a highway junction city. The Huizhou-Hangzhou Expressway runs east to Hanghzou. The Hefei-Tongling-Huangshan Expressway heads north to Tongling on the Yangtze River and then to Hefei, the Anhui provincial capital. The Huangshan-Taling-Taolin Expressway extends southwest to Wuyuan in Jiangxi Province. The Huangshan-Quzhou-Nanping Expressway, currently under construction, will run southeast through Zhejiang Province to Nanping in Fujian Province.

By City-Bus

There are two main bus stations in Huangshan: one is the city center station and one at the foot of the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot.

Huangshan have 20 public bus lines in Huangshan City to offer comfortable services for travelers to nearly every corner of the city. Most of the buses run between 06:00 – 18:00 while some may work later. Yuzhong Garden is the central  station that almost  all the bus routes pass. No.1, 2, and 6 run to Huangshan Railway Station and No.18 runs to Huangshan Airport.

In addition, the Huangshan City Bus Station and the Railway Station offer the service to the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot. There are about 64 kilometers (39.8 miles) between Huangshan City Bus Station and the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot Bus Station (Tangkou Town). Taking the bus at Huangshan City Bus Station to Mt. Huangshan Gate, then change buses at the gate to reach one of the two entrances to Mt. Huangshan. Between the road you would pass the Merciful Light Pavilion (Ciguang Ge) or the Cloud Valley Temple (Yungu Si).

By Long-Distance Bus

Huangshan City Bus Station is near the railway station in Huangshan Dong Lu. You can take long-distance bus from  Huangshan City to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Mt. Jiuhua, and Jingdezhen.  In addition the Hui-Hang (from Anhui Province to Hangzhou City) highway, Hefei - Tongling - Mt.Jiuhua - Mt.Huangshan highway, Mt. Huangshan-Jingdezhen highway, and the round-Mt. Huangshan-highway form an efficient network for Huangshan City. Luxurious bus is also offered from Huangshan City everyday to south China including Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Wuhan, Jingdezhen, Suzhou, Wenzhou, and Hefei.
