Day 1 Zhangjiajie Arrival

When arrive at Zhangjiajie airport, the local driver will meet you there and then transfer you to your hotel. Zhangjiajie is a small city located in the northwest of Hunan province, with a total population of 1.7 million. It is famous for its unique sand stone quarts peaks and mountains.

Day 2 Zhangjiajie

Sightseeing and Activities: Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajjie Mountain, Bailong Elevator

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Breakfast at the hotel, and head to Zhangjiajie national forest park. Take the park green bus get to Bailong elevator station, then ascend the Yuanjiajie Mountain (Bailong Lift Sightseeing Terrace) by the Bailong Elevator – a glass elevator built into the side of the mountain. On the summit, you will hike 2.5 hours to discover the Pillar of the Southern sky. It was used to inspiration for the famous “Hallelujah Mountains” seen in the Blockbuster movie, Avatar. Proceed to the platform or Forgetfulness to enjoy the nearby peak views and then walk across the NO. 1 Bridge under Heaven.

Lunch at the local restaurant. Then take a green bus get to Tianzi mountain, visit imperial brush, Xihai stone forest, fairy lady present flowers. Then finish your trip by tianzi cable car, get back to hotel.

Day 3 Zhangjiajie

Golden Whip Stream in Zhangjiajie

Today we will proceed to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park again to explore the Golden Whip Stream (Jinbianxi). This charming valley is most likely to bring you into the Pandora’s wonderland of the movie Avatar. Have a leisure hiking about 2.5 hours along the stream. Just relax yourself with the beautiful mountain, fresh air, and pure water. Later take cable car up and down to visit Huangshi village, which is 1080m above the sea level. It is the biggest sightseeing platform to view the spectacular scenery in the national park. A saying goes “He who does not reach Huangshi Village does not pay a true visit to Zhangjiajie.

Day 4 Zhangjiajie Departure

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie

After breakfast, get ready to take the world’s longest cable car to the top of Tianmen Mountain. Once we arrive at the mountaintop, wander along the Ghost Path, 1400m above land. Along the way, you can also appreciate tourist attractions like Celestial Mountain Top, Glass Path etc. You can also marvel at such sights as the 99-Turn Road and the 999-Steps that lead to the gate of Tianmen from up high on a glass sky walk .

Opt. to take a chairlift to see the Tianmen temple, or choose to walk along a footpath. Then take the escalator to reach Tianmen Gate.

After descending Tianmen Mountain, take a shuttle bus ride along the Heaven-Linking Avenue. On our way back to Zhangjiajie city, head to the Tujia Folk Customs Park to visit the unique old houses and experience the culture of Tujia ethnic minority group.

Then you will have free time until your tour concludes with your transfer to the airport or train station.
