Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Lijiang Arrival

Upon arrival, met by tour guide and transferred to you hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Lijiang – Lugu Lake
Sightseeing and Activities: Lugu Lake

Today we will drive about 4 hours directly towards Lugu Lake, the highest lake in the Yunnan Province. Lugu Lake is considered as the “mother lake” of the Mosuo people, whose ancient family structure is considered as as “a live fossil for researching the marital development history of Human beings” and “the last quaint Realm of Matriarchy.”
Day 3 Lugu Lake – Camping Site
Sightseeing and Activities: Yeji Mountain Pass, Camping Site

Today our trekking will start. Drive to Yak Farm, the start point and then pack our luggage on the horse. Walk about 4 hours to the Yeji Mountain Pass(3,600m) and have a nice view of the Lion Mountain near Lugu Lake. After that, walk about 3 hours down the pass among forest and head to the camping site, which is an unknown grassland near the river.
Day 4 Camping Site – Tongtian River

Today we will trek about 6-7 hours for 22km. After breakfast, walk outside the forest and along the road accompanied by a river. On the way, pass some minority villages such as Tibetan villages, Yiji and Jiaqu villages. At last, we will arrive at our capming site near Tongtian river.
Day 5 Tongtian River – Kawa Village
Sightseeing and Activities: Hadi Naxi People village
Accommodation: camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today we will trek another 6-7 hours for 16km. Walk up to a mountain top and see the confluence of Tongtian River and Dongyi River. Enjoy the scenery along the way including mountains, valleys and villages. Pass by Hadi Naxi People village and then arrive at our camping site near Kawa Village, where Mongolians live.
Day 6 KawaVillage – Lusi Grassland
Sightseeing and Activities: Keku Village
Accommodation: camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Trek about 6-7 hours once more for 15km from Kawa village down to Keku Village where Tibetan live and then trek up again to our camping site. On the way, we will see many huge cactus growing on the cliffs and also a house built on the cliff.
Day 7 Lusi grassland – Kasi Village

Today trek about 6-7 hours for 17km from our camping site to Wangzi village and take the van to Kasi village. On the way, we will pass by Seku village.
Day 8 Kasi Village – Kasi Yak Farm
Sightseeing and Activities: Kasi Gorge
Accommodation: camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today we will trek again. It is hard due to the high altitude. Pass the Kasi Village, Kasi Gorge and and up to Kasi Yak Farm where we will camp for overnight.
Day 9 Kasi Yak Farm – Chonggu Monastery
Sightseeing and Activities: Chenrezi snow mountain, Chenadorje snow mountain, the Milk Lake, Luorong Yak Farm
Accommodation: guesthouse
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today we will trek to the highest mountain pass of this tour and have a view of Chenrezi snow mountain, Chenadorje snow mountain and the Milk Lake. Have a short rest and then trek down. Pass the Luorong Yak Farm and arrived at the guesthouse near Chonggu Monastery.
Day 10 Chonggu Monastery – Daocheng
Sightseeing and Activities: grassland
Accommodation: guesthouse
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, enjoy the grassland near the monastery. In the afternoon, walk about 1 hour outside the scenic area and the trekking ends. Take the bus to Daocheng and stay in the guesthouse for overnight.
Day 11 Daocheng – Shangri-La

Today we will leave for Shangri-La.
