Sanya Luhuitou Golf Club
Sanya Luhuitou Golf Course(三亚鹿回头高尔夫俱乐部) was designed by Mr. Nelson Haworth of N&H, an American golf design company. It is a standard 72-par golf course with a total course length of 7,310 yards. The course and the greens all feature seashore paspalum, which thrives in tropical areas.
Sanya Luhuitou Golf Club is located in the beautiful Luhuitou Scenic Zone, stretching a few kilometers along the coastline of the spectacular South China Sea. The azure sea, the silvery beach and a wide expanse of green meadow add to the beauty of each other.
Designed by Neil Haworth of American N&h Golf Design Company, Luhuitou golf course, with Luhuitou Park in the back and a commanding view of the South China Sea in the south, features a panoramic view of the city, the port, and the meandering rivers in the distance. Covering an area of more than 181 acres, the course rolls along the hill slopes on the inland side. Because of the undulating terrain, the differences in elevation increase technical difficulty in playing in this 18-hole, 72-par, and 7,248-yard international standard championship course. The fairways, leaning on mountain and sea, consist of sea-view fairway and lake-view fairway. Not making anything easier are the 67 sand bunkers and around 25 acres’ man-made lakes, which add either aesthetic to the course or more woes to the play, depending on your frame of mind. The Luhuitou golf course is also a full floodlit course in Sanya.
The club is equipped with top grade club, designed by famous Thailand KTGY Inter-Associates which was rated as Asian top ten architectural design companies by BCI in 2006. When in the club which covers an area of 10,000 square meters, you can see the sea is surging forward with great momentum and the course is green everywhere.
Everything needed is ready in the club, including driving range, pro shop, red wine cigar gallery, restaurant, foot massage, sauna, luxurious changing rooms, etc.
Since 2008, its trail operation, the club has won the recognition and praise widely. It was rated by many well-known media as “Top Ten New Golf Courses” in 2008, 2009, “Landmark Course of Hainan Island”, “Best Quality Grass Lawn”, and so on. The club also successfully holds “Mercedes Trophy 2011 China Final”, “Porsche Golf Cup 2011 China Final”, “VOLVO 2012 China Open International Qualifying”.
