    Overview

    Qingdao Yinhai International Yacht Club (中国青岛银海国际游艇俱乐部) is a premier seaside marina and tourism destination located at No. 30 Donghai Middle Road (东海中路30号) in Shinan District (市南区), Qingdao (青岛), Shandong Province (山东省), China (中国). Developed by Yinhai Group (银海集团), the project began construction in March 2003 and officially opened in 2005 with a total investment of about 300 million RMB.

    The yacht club covers approximately 67,000 square meters of land area and 87,000 square meters of sea area. Built to international marina standards, it features 366 professional berths for imported yachts ranging from 8 to 40 meters in length. In addition to docking facilities, the complex integrates dry docks, sailing launch ramps, a marine fuel station, athlete apartments, restaurants, leisure facilities, and hotel rooms. Today, it stands as one of the most comprehensive yacht marinas in northern China and serves both tourism and professional sailing activities.

    In 2006, the club was rated a National AAAA-Level Tourist Attraction, becoming China’s first 4A scenic area centered on a yacht club.

    The marina is located along the beautiful coastline of Qingdao (青岛), a city widely known as the “Sailing Capital of China.” Its strategic location on the Yellow Sea coast makes it an ideal base for marine tourism, sailing training, and yacht activities.


    Olympic Sailing Training Base

    Qingdao Yinhai International Yacht Club (中国青岛银海国际游艇俱乐部) served as an important training base for the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (2008年北京奥运会).

    Between 2005 and 2008, the facility successfully hosted adaptive training sessions for nearly 2,000 sailors and coaches from 55 countries and regions. The training base maintained an impressive record of “zero safety incidents and zero service complaints.”

    During the preparation period for the Olympic Games, President Hu Jintao (胡锦涛) visited the training base and highly praised its services and organization. Athletes from many countries also expressed satisfaction with the facilities and support provided at the club.


    Marina and Yacht Facilities

    The yacht club integrates a wide range of professional marine and tourism facilities, making it one of the most advanced marinas in China.

    International-Standard Marina

    The marina includes 366 yacht berths, equipped with modern infrastructure such as electricity and fresh water connections directly available at each dock. It can accommodate yachts and sailboats ranging from 8 meters to 40 meters in length.

    Comprehensive Marine Services

    The club provides a full range of services including:

    • Professional yacht docking and marina management

    • A 4,500-square-meter ship repair dock

    • Marine fuel station for yachts and boats

    • Dry docks and maintenance facilities

    • Sailing launch ramps for training and competitions

    More than 50 internationally renowned yacht brands have established a presence here, including companies from Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan, and Germany.


    Sailing Training and Yacht Education

    The club is also home to Yinhai Yacht Driving Training School (银海游艇驾驶培训学校), the first officially approved non-commercial yacht training institution in China. Since its establishment, the school has trained over 200 qualified yacht captains.

    In addition, the marina serves as an important base for sailing sports development. In 2006, it was recognized by the General Administration of Sport of China (国家体育总局) as a National Youth Sailing and Windsurfing Training Base.

    These programs support the long-term goal of promoting Qingdao (青岛) as a global sailing destination.

    3. International Maritime Expo and Yacht Exhibitions

    The China International Maritime Expo (中国国际航海博览会) has been successfully held here, featuring yacht exhibitions and marine industry conferences.

    4. Yacht Driving Training

    The Yinhai Yacht Driving Training School (银海游艇驾驶培训学校) trains professional yacht operators and promotes marine sports education.

    5. Coastal and Island Tourism Routes

    Sea routes have been developed connecting the marina with scenic destinations such as:

    • Laoshan Mountain (崂山)

    • Dagong Island (大公岛)

    • Lingshan Island (灵山岛)

    • Xuejia Island (薛家岛)

    • Langya Terrace (琅琊台)
