Guizhou Tea Culture Ecological Museum in Zunyi

The Center Hall of the Guizhou Tea Culture Ecological Museum (遵义市湄潭贵州茶文化生态博物馆), a core museum within the Guizhou Tea Culture Ecological Museum group, is located on Tianwen Avenue, “China Tea City,” in Tianjiang Town, Meitan County, Guizhou Province. The exhibition hall covers an area of over 2,000 square meters. The exhibition content mainly includes an entrance hall, and sections such as “Preface,” “Origin of Tea,” “Ancient Tea Culture,” “Historical Famous Teas,” “Republic of China Central Experimental Tea Farm,” “Tea Cultivation,” “Tea Research,” “Tea Marketing and Foreign Trade,” “Contemporary Tea Industry,” and “Tea Ceremonies and Customs,” totaling 43 units across 10 parts. The sections on “Tea Research” and “Tea Marketing and Foreign Trade” are still under construction.

In September 2018, following self-assessment and declaration by the museum, provincial museum industry organizations conducted evaluations, the National Museum Evaluation Committee organized expert reviews, and the application was submitted to the National Cultural Heritage Administration. The Chinese Museum Association decided to approve the Guizhou Tea Culture Ecological Museum as the third batch of national third-level museums.
