Danzhou city is one of the four prefecture-level cities in Hainan province. Danzhou is located in the northwest of Hainan province, bordering Beibu gulf, more than 130 kilometers away from the provincial capital Haikou in the north and more than 280 kilometers from Sanya in the south. Danzhou has a land area of 3,394 square kilometers, accounting for about 1/10 of the total area of province, and its coastline is 267 kilometers long.
