Chunxi Road is a pedestrian street at the center of Chengdu, and it is one of the most prosperous commercial pedestrian streets in Chengdu with various fashionable shopping malls, boutiques, restaurants, hotels, places for entertainment, and is a must see place in Chengdu. Chunxi Road is the most representative, historic, and busy commercial pedestrian street of the city. It is the favorite shopping area of many foreign tourists and local people.

Chunxi is located in the middle of Chengdu City, and the address of the road is Jinjiang District, Chengdu. The road lies about 6 km from Chengdu railway Station, and about 20 km from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

By Metro:
Take Line 2 or Line 3 and get off at Chunxi Road. Leave from exit C or D to find it.

Shopping Mall

As the most famous commercial street in Chengdu, Chunxi Road is a paradise for shopping. It is full of various stores, from international high-end brands to cheap places where you can bargain. There are over 700 commercial sites on this road, including some large-sized stores, such as Wangfujing Department Store, Parskon Shopping Center, Isetan Shopping Mall and so on.

Traditional Chengdu Snacks

Walking on the wide street, you can see people queuing to taste delicious food in different restaurants, like Long Chaoshou (龙抄手), which is a “must taste” snack in Chengdu and the store on Chunxi Road is the headquarter. Zhong Dumplings (钟水饺) and Lai Tangyuan (赖汤圆, Rice Dumpling) are also very tasteful. Moreover, a series of western fast food restaurants and coffee shops, tea houses are plentiful here in Chunxi Road.

A Good Place for Rest

After renovation in 2001, Chunxi Road becomes much wider and the road is paved with granites and archaistic floor tiles. Equipped with outdoor pools, green belts and benches, Chunxi Road is a comfortable place for visitors to have a rest. Besides, Wangfujing Cinema and Youth Palace Cinema on the road provide a relaxing place for visitors.
