Yanghe Shui Ethnic Town in Duyun City, Qiannan
Yanghe Shui Ethnic Township黔南布依族苗族自治州都匀市阳和水族乡, which has been disbanded, was located in the southeastern part of Duyun City, Guizhou Province. It was under the administration of the Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and covered an area of 55 square kilometers. It bordered Sandu Shui Autonomous County to the east, Dushan County to the south, Fenghe Shui Ethnic Township and Wangsi Town to the west, and Jichang Shui Ethnic Township and Wangsi Town to the north. By the end of 2011, Yanghe Shui Ethnic Township had a population of 13,193.
In August 1984, Yanghe Shui Ethnic Township was established under Wangsi District. In April 2014, Yanghe Shui Ethnic Township, along with Fenghe Shui Ethnic Township and Jichang Shui Ethnic Township, was disbanded to form a new Guilan Shui Ethnic Township.
In 2011, the township’s fiscal revenue was 2.56 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3,908 yuan.
Historical Development
- 1914: Duyun Prefecture was restructured into Duyun County.
- 1941: Yanghe Township was established as part of the county’s 21 townships.
- 1953: Nanzhuang, Pandiao, and Fuhe Townships were created.
- 1957: Yanghe Township was transferred to Sandu County.

As of the end of 2011, Yanghe Shui Ethnic Township was divided into:
- 4 Villages: Pandiao Village, Fuzhuang Village, Fuyu Village, and Wenggao Village.
- 44 Village Groups: The township comprised several natural villages.
As of August 2013, the township managed the same four administrative villages, with the township government located in Pandiao Village.

The township’s rivers are part of the Liuzhou River system in the Pearl River Basin, with seven major and minor rivers. The primary river is Yanghe River, which has 12 tributaries. It originates from the western slope of Shanggatai. The river is 18.4 kilometers long with an average annual flow of 2.02 cubic meters per second and a minimum flow of 0.17 cubic meters per second during dry periods. The average riverbed gradient is 29.8‰.

The gender distribution was 51.5% male and 48.5% female. The birth rate was 12.8‰, the death rate was 9.1‰, and the natural population growth rate was 3.7‰. The population density was 240 people per square kilometer.
