In 1992, Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong park was included by the UNESCO on the World Natural Heritage list. Jiuzhaigou is known far and wide as 'A Fairyland'. This National Park's main scenery is its three valleys, where you will find 114 lakes, 17 waterfalls, 11 rip currents, and 5 travertine beaches. The breathtaking stunning scenery with local Tibetan folk customs will make you feel the real fairyland. Huanglong's elevation is around 3,000 meters, and is very famous for its colorful lakes. Around the colorful lakes there are virgin forests and snow-capped mountains.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou (420KM)

Sightseeing and Activities:
Accommodation: Jiuzhaigou County
Meals: Lunch

In the morning, be picked up by private car to the Chengdu tourist bus station to take the public tourist bus to Jiuzhaigou. On the way, you can enjoy the stunning scenery along the road from the window. The rebuilding of the road from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou after the 2008 earthquake was finished, a new road with several tunnels have put into use since last summer.

It takes about 7-8 hours from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. Upon arrival in Jiuzhaigou, your tour guide will pick you up at Jiuzhaigou bus station, and then escort you to hotel.

Day 2: Jiuzhaigou National Park

Sightseeing and Activities: Sightseeing at Jiuzhaigou National Park, Tibetan Culture Show(paid by yourself)
Accommodation: Jiuzhaigou Resort Hotel or similar class hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

You will have one full day to spend at Jiuzhaigou National Park. With many lakes, waterfalls, and Tibetan villages to explore, you can take the inside sightseeing bus or if you want you can be on foot. In the evening, you are suggested to take part in the local Tibetan Culture Show for an option (cost not included).

Day 3: Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong (180KM)

Sightseeing and Activities: Huanglong National Park
Accommodation: Chuanzhusi Town
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Drive from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Park, we will stop at the highest place of the road where we can see the 5,588 meters high peak-Xuebaoding(Snow pearl summit) of Minshan mountain ranges. Hiking in Huanglong National park and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery composed of primitive forests, calcified waterfalls, Yellow Dragon Bathing cave, the five-colored pool etc.

After the sightseeing at Huanglong, we will drive to Chuanzhusi town for overnight.

Day 4: Chuanzhusi - Chengdu(340KM)

Sightseeing and Activities: Hotel pick-up
Accommodation: No hotels
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning, you will be picked up from hotel to the Chuanzhusi bus station, then take the tourist bus back to Chengdu. Bus cost is included in package. Service ends.
