Why is Shenlongxia Scenic Area so Special?
It is an original ecological canyon squeezed out by hundreds of millions of crustal movements. Most of the mountains are above 1300 meters above sea level, of which the highest peak, Baozi Ridge, is 1380 meters above sea level. It is the most primitive ecological canyon extending closest to the main urban area of Chongqing. The Grand Canyon of Shenlong Gorge looks like a huge dragon lying across a mountain stream, and there are legends about dragons everywhere in the canyon, hence the name Shenlong Gorge.
Main attraction
Cliff landscape includes fish scale rock of Guilong Valley, cat pecking big cliff, dragon cave cliff, fire rock cliff, etc. Waterfalls include Mozi Cave Waterfall, Feilong Waterfall, Biquan Yingyue Waterfall, Shenlong Cave Waterfall, etc. The vegetation on both sides of the canyon is mostly shrub forest and spiny bamboo forest, with abundant plants. The widest part of the canyon is about 100m, and the narrowest part is about 10m in Sujiayan.
Nanchuan Shenlong Gorge Drifting Scenic Area consists of Shenlong Gorge, Baozi Ridge, Baoxiang Temple, Hongshan Reception Center and Liyingba Agricultural Sightseeing Area. It is an original ecological canyon drifting scenic area around Chongqing.
Geographical environment
Shenlong Gorge is located in Nanping Town, Nanchuan District, southwest Chongqing, 7.7km away from Baoxiang Temple, 27km away from Nanchuan, about 100KM away from the main urban area of Chongqing, with an area of about 13km2. Located to the west of Jinfo Mountain, the mountainous area in the territory belongs to the residual vein of Dalou Mountain. Historical culture
Shenlong Gorge has beautiful mountains, green peaks and waterfalls. Here, peaks stand in various shapes, and forests are verdant. There are many waterfalls and fountains, with 11 waterfalls such as Mozi Cave Waterfall, Feilong Waterfall, Biquan Yingyue Waterfall and Shenlong Cave Waterfall. The air is fresh and the temperature is cool. Among them, Feilong Waterfall is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in Shenlong Gorge, with a drop of more than 60 meters. Visitors cannot but be moved by the magic of nature. Interested tourists can also fly from Long Ting down the stone level to the bottom of the valley. In the scattered water drops and diffuse fog, looking up at Feilong Falls from below, they can feel the poetic scene of “Nine Days of Falling Milky Way”.

The high-speed bus from Chongqing to Nanchuan goes to Nanchuan, and then to the bus station to take the bus to Yongan to get there directly. Direction: Chongqing Nanping-Nanchuan-Nanping-Yongan (in the former Hongshan National Defense Factory). - External traffic
