Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Welcome to the capital of China – Beijing! Upon arrival, met by tour guide and transferred to you hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace
Accommodation: Beijing
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast at hotel, start today’s tour with Tiananmen Square. Go north through the square and you will reach the Forbidden City. As the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden structure in the world, it has more than 8,000 pavilions and thousands of historic treasures.

The last stop is the Summer Palace , which used to be the summer resort for royal families and emperors.

Day 3 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Get up early to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. Great Wall is one of the greatest architecture projects in human history. Then visit Ming Tomb, where 13 emperors and their wives of the Ming Dynasty were buried. See the appearance of Bird’s Nest and Water Cube at a distance on the way back to your hotel.

Day 4 Beijing – Xian

Sightseeing and Activities: Temple of Heaven, Beijing Hutong

In the morning, head to visit the royal altar of the Ming and Qing dynasties – the Temple of Heaven. After lunch, take a rickshaw to visit Beijing hutong alleys, narrow but original and visit a local family.

Then take the bullet train to the city of Xian. A local tour guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 Xian

Sightseeing and Activities: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Quarter

Terracotta Army, Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Xian

Today visit the world famous Terracotta Warriors. The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.

After that, visit the City Wall. Visitors can rent a bicycle(paid by yourself) and take a ride on the wall. Them move on to Muslim Quarter, the hub of the Muslim community in Xian City.

At night, enjoy the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show(paid by yourself).

Day 6 Xian

Sightseeing and Activities: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi Provincial History Museum

In the morning, visit the landmark of Xian – Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda built in 652 during the Tang dynasty.

Then move on to Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China and one of the largest with the large storage of cultural relics from the Shang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.

Day 7 Xian – Lhasa

After breakfast, be transferred to the airport to take the morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, met by tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Have a good rest and get acclimatized to the high altitude in Tibet.

Day 8 Lhasa

Sightseeing and Activities: Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, Barkhor Street
Accommodation: Lhasa
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast at hotel, the Lhasa tour begins with the must-see attraction – Potala Palace, the largest monastery of its type in the world and official home to Dalai Lama.

In the afternoon, move on to Jokhang Monastery and walk along the Barkhor Street nearby. Enjoy the local Tibetan culture here.

Day 9 Lhasa

Sightseeing and Activities: Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka, Sera Monastery
Accommodation: Lhasa
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast at hotel, drive to visit Drepung Monastery – one of the three great monasteries in Tibet. Then move on to the largest garden in Tibet – Norbulingka and the last of the three principal Yellow Sect monasteries in Lhasa – Sera Monastery.

After all the visit, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 10 Lhasa – Shigatse

Sightseeing and Activities: Yamdrok-tso Lake, Korola Glacier, Pelkor Monastery
Accommodation: Shigatse

After breakfast, we will drive over the Gampala pass to Shigatse, which will take about 8 hours. On the way, have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso Lake – one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet, which is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and is fed by numerous small streams. Also have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance, the highest mountain near Lhasa.

Then pass the Korola Glacier and enjoy it on the roadside. After Gyantse arrival – Tibet’s third largest city, visit the Pelkor Monastery, a complex of structures and most notable for its 108 chapels in its several floors and the old Dzong or fort.

Continue the drive to Shigatse – the second largest city in Tibet.

Day 11 Shigatse – Tingri – Mount Everest

Sightseeing and Activities: Tashilunpo Monastery, Rongbuk Monastery

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, head to visit the home of Panchan Lama – Tashilunpo Monastery and see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world. Founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama, it is a historic and culturally important monastery.

Then continue the drive to Rongbuk Monastery – the highest monastery in the world, where we can enjoy the front face of Mount Everest.

Stay overnight at Tent or Guest House near to Rongbuk Monastery.

Day 12 Mount Everest – Gyirong

Sightseeing and Activities: sunrise, Tibetan Tents Camp
Accommodation: Gyirong

Get up early to enjoy the stunning sunrise on the peak of the world. Then drive about 4km forward to Tibetan Tents Camp(4900m) to have a closer view of Mount Everest.

After that, drive to Gyirong. We can have a view of Shishapangma Peak in clear days and enjoy the beautiful view of Pekutso Lake.

Day 13 Gyirong – Kathmandu

Today we will drive to the Gyirong Port and our service will end at the border of Tibet and Nepal. You can arrange the transfer from the border to Kathmandu by yourself or take our private transfer with an extra charge.
