    Guangzhou is the largest highway hub in the south. There are several long-distance bus stations to different directions in Guangzhou, among which Guangzhou Bus Station, Guangzhou Provincial Bus Station, Tianhe Bus Station and Guangyuan Bus Station are the major and frequently used.

    Guangdong Bus Station

    Next to Guangzhou Railway Station, Trade Fair and Metro Line 2, Guangdong Bus Station covers several routes including more than 30 cities of other provinces such as Guangxi, Hainan, Shanxi, Henan, Jiangsu, Liaoning, etc. The buses leave for the cities in Pearl River Delta(Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Qingyuan and Zhaoqing) and some cities in provinces of Hainan, GuangxiHunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hubei and Guizhou.

    With a history of more than 30 years, this station is one of the largest transportation hubs in south China. At present, it provides a great number of bus lines to cities in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, Shanxi and Jiangsu.

    Tianhe Bus Station

    Tianhe Bus Station enjoys a fabulous location, facing South China Expressway on the east, North Ring Expressway on the west and being gone through by Metro Line 3 and Line 6. The buses leave for cities in the Pearl River Delta areas(Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Qingyuan and Zhaoqing), Macau, cities inside Guangzhou Province and cities in nearby provinces of Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guizhou and Jiangsu.

    Guangzhou Guangyuan Bus Station opened in 2000. It has provincial bus routes for Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Zhanjiang, Wuchuan, Dianbai, Maoming Gaozhou, Huazhou, Zhaoqing, Shaoguan Xinfeng, Qingyuan, Yingde, Fogang, Shantou, Shanwei, Haifeng, Lufeng, Chaozhou, Jieyang, Puning, Huilai, Xinhui, Jiangmen and inter-provincial bus routes from Guangzhou to Liaoning Province, Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province, Fujian Province, Jiangxi Province, Henan Province, Hunan Province, Hubei Province, Shaanxi Province, Sichuan Province and etc.

    Guangzhou Fangcun Bus Station

    The national level Guangzhou Fangcun Bus Station opened on August 1st 1999. It mainly operates bus routes for the west and the south regions of the Pearl River Delta as well as some inter-provincial bus routes for Guangxi, Hainan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Hubei. As one of the largest 20 bus stations in Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Fangcun Bus Station has more than 1,600 daily bus departures transporting more than 24,000 passengers a day.
