Yumen City

Yumen (玉门市) is a historic city in western Gansu Province (甘肃省), located along the ancient Hexi Corridor (河西走廊) and administered by Jiuquan (酒泉). Known as the “Jade Gate,” Yumen has played an important role in the development of western China through the Silk Road and modern energy industry. Although often confused with the famous Yumen Pass (玉门关) near Dunhuang, the two places are separate locations.
