How to Get & Leave Tai’an

By Airplane

Tai’an doesn't have an airport of its own. Luckily, it's about 110 kilometers away from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport. At present, Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport has offered 8 direct couches to Tai'an everyday. Each couch takes about 1.5 or 2 hours to arrive in Tai’an, and the fare is 70 yuan.

By Train

There are 6 railway stations in Tai’an, including Tai’an Railway Station, Taishan Railway Station, Ciyao Railway Station, Fan Town Railway Station, Shanggao Town Railway Station and Yanjiazhuang Railway Station. Among them, 4 railway stations are usually used.

Tai’an Railway Station

Taishan Railway Station

Taishan Railway Station is a relatively old railway station, and it is the hub of the Taishan Tourist Traffic. Taishan Station is the middle station of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, and it is the key link between the north and the south of China. Every day, 44 pairs of express, direct, and ordinary passenger trains stop at Taishan Station. It provides trains to other cities of Shandong, like Zibo, Cao County, Rizhao, Qingdao, etc. and cities of other provinces, like Beijing, Shanghai, Xuzhou, Mudanjiang, Hefei, Taiyuan, Wenzhou, Qiqihar, etc.

Ciyao Railway Station

Ciyao Railway Station was formerly known as East Taiping Station. It is 996 meters away from Juping Site and 5 kilometers away from Dawenkou Site where the ancient Dawenkou culture flourished.

Shanggao Town Railway Station
Location: Lingshan Street, Taishan District

Shanggaozhen Station is a small station along the Xintai Railway. It was built in 1974 and it’s a fourth-class station. There are some scenic spots around it, like Dai Temple, Dai Temple Archway, the Copper Pavilion, the Yaoshen Pavilion, the Han Cypress Courtyard, etc. It is 4.6 kilometers away from Dai Temple and the Copper Pavilion and 4.5 kilometers away from the Yaoshen Pavilion and the Han Cypress Courtyard.

There are 10 couch stations in Tai’an, including Tai’an New Couch Station,
Tai’an Old Couch Station, Tai’an West Couch Station, Taishan East Couch Station, Qiujiadian Couch Station, Daolang Couch Station and so on. There are couch stations being mainly used.

Tai’an Old Couch Station

Square Couch Station

It is located in the front of the Taishan Railway Station, and it mainly provides couches to Jinan, Laiwu, Laigang, Qufu, etc.

Bus

In recent years, Tai'an has taken many measures to promote the development of public transportation, and has made remarkable achievements. Tai’an has built 9 public transport hubs, 22 bus parking lots and there are 130 charging posts being in use. In addition, a new public transport hub is under construction around Tai’an Railway Station, which would play an important role in improving public transport infrastructure.

Jiaotong Hotel Public Transport Hub
It is located at the junction of Longtan Road and Taishan Big Street, and it is near to Jiaotong Hotel Couch Station. It offers buses No. 203, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 212, 213, 216, 219, 228, 233, 234, 235, 237, 242, 249, 306.

Manzhuang Public Transport Hub
The fare is 1 yuan for common public buses and 2 yuan for air-conditioners buses. It offers buses No. 203, 212, 236, etc.

Taxi

Hundreds of taxis at a stand or along the street are available in the city. The starting price is 6 yuan, covering the first 2 kilometers. And additional 1.5 yuan per km will be charged. From 23:00 to 06:00 next morning, the starting fare is 9 yuan and additional 1.9 yuan per km beyond 2 kilometers.
