Bian Embroidery(汴绣)

Bian embroidery is called Song embroidery in ancient times. It has a history of more than 800 years. Kaifeng Bian Embroidery is unique and has a long history. It is known as a "national treasure". It is famous for its exquisite embroidery, fine stitches, precise patterns, elegant style, color and beauty. It was well-known throughout the country as early as the Song Dynasty. Its representative works include "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" and "One Hundred Horses".

Wood-block New Year Picture(木板年画)

Wood-block New Year Picture in Kaifeng is a folk art form of the Han nationality with a long history. Zhuxian Town Wood-block New Year Picture, Tianjin Yangliuqing New Year Picture, Shandong Weifang New Year Picture and Jiangsu Taohuawu New Year Picture are four major New Year paintings in China. Wood-block New Year Picture in Zhuxian Town are not only of great artistic collection value, but also of great ornamental value, with a history of more than 800 years. It was born in the Tang Dynasty, developed in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming Dynasty. It is reputed as the originator of China's wood-block New Year pictures. Mandarin Porcelain(官瓷)

Mandarin porcelain, one of the five most famous porcelains in China, was the royal porcelain made in the imperial kilns in the late Northern Song Dynasty. It has always been reserved for the royal family. Mandarin porcelain is rare and precious because of its high production skill, extremely low rate of finished products and lost production technology.

Qixian Pickles(杞县酱菜)

Qixian County is the hometown of pickles. Red radish pickle is bright red, salty and sweet, with strong sauce flavor. The famous ones are Ming De Tang Mo Family Pickle and Dragon Pavilion Brand Pickle. It is said that Mo Family Pickle and Dragon Pavilion Pickle were both originated in the Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Dragon Pavilion Pickle is once listed as imperial tribute and is known as "Qiguo pickles(杞国酱菜)". Recommended pickles include pickled cucumber and pickled radish.

Peanut Cake(花生糕)

Peanut cake is a local traditional specialty in Kaifeng, Henan Province. Kaifeng is rich in peanuts. Peanut cakes made from peanuts have unique local characteristics and have long enjoyed a good reputation. The product is mainly made of selected peanut kernels, supplemented by white sugar, maltose, etc. The finished product is flaky and multi-layered, is popular with the masses. Peanut cake is an ancient court food, which originated from the Song Dynasty and has been experienced the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, and handed down for more than 600 years.

Baogong Bean(包公豆)

Baogong Bean is a famous snack in Kaifeng. It is like a black peanut bean that looks like Bao Gong's face. It is made by soaking in various natural plant spices and then baking with salt. Because of its unique flavor, black appearance, like Bao Gong's face, it is therefore called Baogong bean.

Song Dynasty Imperial Street(宋都御街)

Imperial Street was a customs clearance avenue on the north-south central axis of Dongjing city, which was more than ten kilometers long. It was the main road for ancient emperors to worship their ancestors, hold grand ceremonies in the southern suburbs, and go to and fro from the palace. Therefore, it was called imperial street, also known as imperial road, Tianjie or Songduanli street(宋端里街). Today's Song Dynasty Imperial Street is a commercial street imitated Song Dynasty built in 1988. The newly-built Imperial Street is built on the site of the original Imperial Street. It starts from Xinjiekou in the south and extends to Wuchaomen Gate in the north. It has a total length of more than 400 meters. Its purpose is to show the style and features of Song Dynasty Imperial Street. There are many shops on both sides of the street, and you will always be overwhelmed with a wide variety of commodities.

Gulou Business Circle(鼓楼商圈)

The Drum Tower in Kaifeng is the historical coordinate of the city. The "田" shaped business district spread around the Drum Tower Square is always crowded with tourists. In addition to Gulou night market, where snacks gather, Madao Street and Bookstore Street in the business circle are also good places to shop and stroll. Madao Street has been noisy since the Ming Dynasty and has been a prosperous circle in the city since ancient times. There are many shopping malls here. It is highly recommended to put down your steps and wander slowly. Madao Street is located in the center of Kaifeng's old city with a long history. It is adjacent to drum tower in the north and connected with Bookstore Street, is a prosperous commercial street in Kaifeng. On both sides of Madao Street, shops line the street, and many chain brand clothing shops are gathered. It is a shopping place frequented by Kaifeng locals.
