Xi’an Trains

As the transportation hub for almost all the major cities in China, Xi’an is linked with all of China’s provincial capital cities and municipalities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Haikou, Tibet, etc. Tourists can get to those destinations by train from Xi’an, also Xi’an has the trains to the famous tourism destinations like Guilin, Dunhuang, Luoyang, Suzhou, Qingdao, Huashan, etc. In recent years, with the development of Chinese railway, there are several high speed rails passing Xi’an such as Xuzhou-Lanzhou High Speed Rail, Datong-Xi’an High Speed Rail, etc, which make the trip to Beijing, Shanghai and even Shenzhen within 10 hours.

For passengers traveling to Beijing and Shanghai by taking the normal trains, the overnight sleeper trains are the best choice, saving time and also the cost on hotel accommodation. For example, Beijing – Xi’an, Z19/Z20, T41/T42, T231/T232 and Xi’an – Shanghai, Z94/Z92, Z166/Z164. It is reminded to book these popular tickets as early as possible; otherwise, it is hard to get the most suitable sleeper tickets.
