The rest of the day is free at leisure, allowing you to explore the city at your own pace—perhaps strolling along seaside promenades, sampling local Fujian cuisine, or relaxing after your journey.

Xiamen : Gulangyu, Hi Heaven, Shuzhuang Garden, Piano Museum, South Putuo Temple, Eighth Seafood Market
After breakfast, transfer to the ferry terminal and take a scenic boat ride to Gulangyu Island, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site known for its car-free streets, historic foreign consulates, and lush subtropical scenery.
On the island, visit Hi Heaven, the largest and best-preserved historic villa on Gulangyu, where you will enjoy traditional Nanyin (Southern Music) and puppet performances.
Continue to Shuzhuang Garden, a beautifully designed seaside garden that harmoniously integrates natural landscapes with classical Chinese architecture.
Then explore the Piano Museum, home to China’s most extensive piano collection, reflecting Gulangyu’s deep-rooted musical tradition and earning it the title “Island of Music.”
Return to Xiamen in the afternoon and visit South Putuo Temple, a renowned Buddhist temple originally founded during the Tang Dynasty, peacefully located at the foot of lush hills.
Later, experience local daily life at the Eighth Seafood Market, Xiamen’s most famous seafood market, where fresh catches, snacks, and street food offer an authentic taste of the city.

Xiamen - Taxia Village : Chuxi Tulou Cluster, Nanxi Tulou Cluster
After breakfast, depart Xiamen and drive into the mountainous countryside of Yongding County, the heartland of Fujian Tulou culture.
Visit the Chuxi Tulou Cluster, a group of Ming Dynasty earthen buildings set amid rolling green hills and along the picturesque Peach Blossom Stream. These tulou demonstrate the harmony between architecture and nature, as well as the defensive wisdom of ancient Hakka communities.
Continue to the Nanxi Tulou Cluster, located in Hukeng Town, featuring several UNESCO-listed tulou such as Yanxiang Lou, known for its elegant proportions and cultural significance.
In the late afternoon, arrive in Taxia Village, a traditional Hakka village surrounded by tulou and terraced fields. Check in to your local accommodation and enjoy the peaceful rural atmosphere.

Taxia Village - Xiamen : Tianluokeng Tulou, Yuchanglou, Taxia village
After breakfast, explore the iconic Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, one of the most photographed tulou groups in Fujian. This unique formation features one square tulou at the center, surrounded by four circular tulou, forming a symbolic and visually striking layout.
Continue to Yuchanglou, one of the oldest and largest round tulou, famous for its dramatically tilted wooden pillars. With five stories and 270 rooms, it stands as a remarkable example of ancient engineering and communal living.
Stroll through Taxia Village, celebrated for its clean environment, feng shui layout, and reputation for longevity among its residents. The village offers a glimpse into traditional Hakka lifestyles and sustainable rural living.
After the tour, transfer back to Xiamen Airport for your onward journey.
