Fujian tulou and Wuyi mountain are two World Heritage sites in Fujian. Fujian tulou is a traditional communal Hakka people residence and unique earthen building found in Fujian province. Wuyi mountain are famous for cultural, scenic, and biodiversity values.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Xiamen Arrival

Sightseeing and Activities:
Accommodation: Xiamen

Upon your arrival, met by tour guide and transferred to your hotel for a rest.

Day 2 Xiamen – Nanjing -Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, Yuchanglou, Taxia village
Accommodation: Xiamen
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster in Nanjing County, Zhangzhou

In the morning, drive about 2.5 hours to Shuyang in Nanjing. Upon arrival, head to visit Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, Yuchanglou(Yuchang Building) and Taxia village.

Tianluokeng Tulou cluster is one of the better known groups of Fujian Tulou. It consists of a square earth building at the center of a quincunx, surrounded by four round earth buildings. Yuchanglou is the oldest and biggest round earth building, famous for its tilted pillars, which covers an area of 6358 square meters with 5 storeys and 270 rooms. Taxia village is part of the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster with fine environment and the healthy ways of life. People living here are longevous.

After the tour, drive back to Xiamen.

Day 3 Xiamen – Wuyishan

Sightseeing and Activities:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today take the high speed train G1656 departing at 14:09 from Xiamen to Wuyishan and arriving at 17:00. Upon arrival, check the hotel for a rest.

Day 4 Mt. Wuyi

Sightseeing and Activities: Jiuqu Stream rafting, Wuyi Palace, ancient Song Street, Tianyou Peak
Accommodation: Wuyishan
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Jiuqu Stream in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian

Full day to explore the Mt. Wuyi. Take a bamboo raft floating down the Jiuqu (Nine twists) Stream and then visit Wuyi Palace and ancient Song Street. Built in the Tianbao years (742-755), Wuyi Palace is the oldest Taoist palace in the Wuyi Mountains. The 300 meter long ancient Song Street represents the life and culture dating back to 800 years.

Then climb up the Tianyou Peak (Heavenly Tour Peak) to have a bird view of the mountain scenic area.

Day 5 Wuyishan Departure

Sightseeing and Activities: Dahongpao Scenic Area, Xiamei Ancient Village
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Morning after breakfast, visit the Dahongpao Scenic Area (Big Red Robe Scenic Area) to see the plantation of the famous Wuyi Rock Tea – Dahongpao tea trees. After that, continue the tour to Xiamei Ancient Village, one part of the Wuyi World culture heritage. It is a quiet place with Well-preserved ancient buildings featuring delicate carvings, also the starting point of Ancient Tea Road.

After the tour, transferred to the railway station to catch the train G5205 to Xiamen(15:24/18:55).
