Mt. Wuyi: Jiuqu Stream rafting, Wuyi Palace, ancient Song Street, Tianyou Peak
Today is dedicated to discovering the core highlights of Mt. Wuyi Scenic Area.
Begin with a peaceful bamboo raft ride on the Jiuqu (Nine-Bend) Stream, gently floating through crystal-clear waters surrounded by towering red cliffs, lush forests, and misty peaks. Each bend reveals a new landscape, making this rafting experience the signature activity of Wuyishan.
After rafting, visit Wuyi Palace, the oldest Taoist palace in the region, originally built during the Tang Dynasty (742–755). The site reflects the deep spiritual traditions that once flourished in the mountains.
Continue to Ancient Song Street, a well-preserved stone-paved street that recreates daily life from over 800 years ago, with traditional architecture, local crafts, and cultural displays.
In the afternoon, hike up Tianyou Peak (Heavenly Tour Peak), the best viewpoint in Mt. Wuyi. From the summit, enjoy a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the winding river, layered peaks, and dramatic Danxia landforms—an unforgettable highlight of the tour.

Mt. Wuyi : Dahongpao Scenic Area, Qinglong Waterfall
After breakfast, head to the Dahongpao Scenic Area, home to the legendary Wuyi Rock Tea – Dahongpao. Walk through ancient tea plantations growing among rocky cliffs and learn about traditional tea cultivation methods that have made Wuyi tea famous worldwide. The centuries-old mother tea trees are a symbol of Chinese tea culture.
Later, continue to Qinglong Waterfall, acclaimed as the No.1 Waterfall in East China. This impressive natural wonder features multiple cascading falls stretching over 200 meters, with a dramatic vertical drop of 120 meters. Surrounded by primeval forest, the area is rich in negative oxygen ions, offering a refreshing and rejuvenating atmosphere.
Enjoy time to walk along forest trails, admire the powerful cascades, and connect with Wuyishan’s untouched natural beauty.

Wuyishan Departure : Xiamei Ancient Village
In the morning, visit Xiamei Ancient Village, an integral part of the Wuyi World Cultural Heritage Site. This tranquil riverside village is renowned for its well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture, stone bridges, ancestral halls, and exquisitely carved wooden details.
Xiamei is also recognized as the starting point of the Ancient Tea Road, once a vital trade route transporting Wuyi tea across China and beyond. Strolling through the village offers a glimpse into traditional merchant culture and rural life.
After the visit, transfer to the railway station for your onward journey, concluding your memorable Wuyishan experience.
