Located in the northeastern part of Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (海西蒙古族藏族自治州) in western Qinghai Province (青海省), Delingha (德令哈) is an important city in the Qaidam Basin (柴达木盆地) and one of the most distinctive destinations on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (青藏高原).
