Anyang (安阳) is a prefecture-level city located in Henan Province (河南省), China. As the northernmost city in Henan, Anyang is bordered by Puyang (濮阳) to the east, Hebi (鹤壁) and Xinxiang (新乡) to the south, and the provinces of Shanxi (山西) and Hebei (河北) to the west and north, respectively.
With a population of 5,172,834 as per the 2010 census, of which 2,025,811 reside in the metropolitan area, Anyang is a city that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. The metropolitan area consists of four urban districts and Anyang County (安阳县), which is largely integrated with the city proper.
