Yushu Climate
Yushu climate belongs to the typical plateau alpine climate. Annual average temperature is 2.9 ℃, average temperature of January is minus 7.5 ℃, and average temperature of July is 12.5 ℃. Annual precipitation is 487 mm.
The average temperature in spring in Yushu is -7℃ ~ 8℃. During the day, it is recommended to wear suits, windbreakers, casual wear, jackets, thin sweaters and other warm clothes. The average temperature at night is -7℃, it is recommended to wear cotton-padded coat, leather jacket, thick tweed coat, felt hat, gloves, down jacket and other warm clothes.
The average temperature in summer in Yushu is 4 ℃~ 18℃. During the day, it is recommended to wear short single layer of cotton and linen fabric suits, T-shirt, thin jeans, casual wear and other comfortable clothes. At night, it is recommended to wear windbreakers, overcoats, sweaters, wool suits, cold protective clothes and other warm clothes. Autumn’s temperature, which is almost the same as summer’s, is 3℃ ~ 16℃.
The average temperature in winter in Yushu is -13℃ ~ 4℃. At daytime, the average temperature is 4℃, and at night -13℃.
The Best Time to Visit
Summer is the best season to travel Yushu because the temperature in summer is high, and it often rains at night, therefore it is humid. Although locating in the northwest, the climate is relatively stable. It is a natural summer resort because it is cool in summer.
