International Confucius Culture Festival
Time: September 26th -- October 10th
Qufu International Confucius Culture Festival is one of the 14 grand tourist festivals in China. The festival combines Confucius worshipping with the activities of culture, tourism, systematic learning, entertainment, trade and international communication. It was celebrated since 1989, with the aim of memorizing Confucius’s great contribution to human culture.
Confucius School Excursion Tour Festival
Time: July 10th -- August 20th
The classic works reading and recitation ceremony would be held in Dachengdian Hall. Famous scholars are invited to lecture at Xintan. Also, there are rites of crown for learners. Then, activities of Chinese calligraphy, painting, seal cutting, cuisine, martial arts learning, etc. would be held.
The Kong Family Mansion’s New Year Activities
Time: Golden week of Spring Festival
Morning bell knocking, night drum playing, music and dancing admiration, and folk feasts tasting are quite special and enjoyable. Visitors start their New Year journey by knocking the morning bell and end it by night drum playing. During the period, in addition to the “San Kong” tour, travelers could experience lantern hanging, firework shooting, dumpling making and the Kong family feast tasting, etc. While eating, you could watch ancient dance performances.
