With a history of more than 2000 years, Beijing is a city with both traditional charm and modern appeal. It will be also the first city ever to host both the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2022 Winter Olympics.

In the large park, you will also see the unique appearances of Aquatics Center (Water Cube) and the newly built Olympic Tower. Photos can be snapped afar. They make for good photos, especially at sunset.

We also suggest you have an ample breakfast at the hotel, because restaurants nearby the site are in low quality and we do not arrange lunch today, you can have some light fast food by yourself. After that, our journey turns to Zhangjiakou City, bordering Beijing to the southeast. This city will host some of the events at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. After about one hour’ driving, you will arrive at Chongli County in Zhangjiakou. Our guide will help you check in at the hotel and you will stay one night here.

Day 5 Zhangjiakou – Beijing-Xian

After having lunch, we will start to drive along the famous Grassland Sky Road, a Chinese “US 66 Route” and take in the beautiful unspoiled landscape of vast grassland, deep valley, meandering river, wild sheep and cattle at the roadside, horses grazing, and high mountains in the distance. It’s like appreciating a long sightseeing scroll painting. Take your camera and capture the beauty.
