Day 1: Arrival in Haikou

Day 2: Haikou – Xinglong (by automobile)

In the morning, head to the Arcade Street, one of the most scenic streets in Haikou, featuring Southeast Asian style, with a wide range of stores and sites as long as you can imagine. Then visit the Huoshankou (Volcano Crater) National Geopark, one of the best preserved volcano clusters on earth. The sightseeing of the geopark, a combination of traditional Chinese culture, modern architecture and natural scenery, is more than rewarding. After lunch, excursion to the 600-year-old ancient village for a glimpse of the local culture. Car ride around 2.5 hours to Xinglong County and transfer to the hotel.

Day 3: Xinglong – Qixianling (by automobile)

In the morning, visit Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden, a “tropical plants encyclopedia”. The garden gives tourists a panorama view of many kinds of tropical plants and trees in the island. Learn more by exploring the Xinglong Farm Coffee Plant. After lunch, car transfer around 2 hours to Qixianling and transfer to the hotel. Spend the afternoon hours enjoying the famous Qixianling Hot Spring.

Day 4: Qixianling – Wuzhishan (by automobile)

In the morning, free time to relax around the scenic gardens in the Qixianling Hotel, or trek the nearby forests at your own leisure. After lunch, car ride around 2 hours to Wuzhishan, where you’ll appreciate the Wuzhishan Ethnic Museum, a display of cultural relics, pictures, costumes, folk arts and various aspects of the minority culture in Hainan, as Hainan is a multi-ethnic region. The ethnic villages of Li and Miao are very typical.

Day 5: Wuzhishan – Sanya (by automobile)
