Day 1 Chengdu Arrival

Today, you have the flexibility to reach Chengdu, the hometown of pandas, by plane or train. Our guide will pick you up at Shuangliu International Airport or Chengdu Railway Station and then take you to the hotel. If you arrive early in Chengdu, we can also arrange additional activities in the afternoon, such as visiting the Jinshan Museum, or relaxing for a walk in the local park.

Day 2 Chengdu City Tour

Sightseeing and Activities: Chengdu Giant Panda Base, Wenshu Temple, Jinli Old Street

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Today, head to Chengdu Giant Panda Base first, where you can get close to these cute babies who eat bamboo, play slides or climb trees together. You can also learn some interesting facts about giant pandas, such as their history, habitat, habits, etc. Giant panda visits are usually scheduled in the morning, as pandas like to sleep in the afternoon. In the afternoon, you can visit the most sacred Buddhist temple in Chengdu, Wenshu Temple, for more than 1400 years. Admire the magnificent temples, churches in the monastery, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Buddhism. Then visit the People’s Park, Chengdu’s busiest local park, which is rich in folk activities and casual lifestyle. After dinner, stroll through the fabulous Jinli Old Street and explore the ancient traditions of Chengdu.

Day 3 Chengdu – Leshan – Emeishan

Leshan Giant Buddha

Today we are going to visit two sacred Buddhist sites, which are also great places to get stunning visual and spiritual touch. First, drive to Leshan City for about 2 hours and visit the famous Buddha. The Leshan Giant Buddha is carved on a cliff facing the river and is 71 meters high. It has a history of more than 1,000 years. You will take a close look at the Buddha on the boardwalk built on the cliff. After about 2 hours in Leshan, drive to the next Buddhist kingdom, Mount Emei, for about 40 minutes. Take a short tour of Baoguo Temple, one of the most influential Buddhist temples in Mount Emei, and take a rest after checking into the hotel.

Day 4 Emeishan Tour – Chengdu

The Golden Summit Temple of Mount Emei

Today is a full day visiting on Emeishan. Firstly, take sightseeing bus to the upper station – Leidongping where you hike about 30 minutes to get to the Jieyingting Cableway Station. Then you can take cableways to the top of Emeishan – Golden Summit, or hike about another 2 hours up the stone steps. The experience on the Golden Summit is fabulous – sparkling golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, endless stretching cloud sea, fresh air, etc.After the sightseeing, take sightseeing bus back to the foot of mountain, then drive back to Chengdu.

Day 5 Chengdu Departure

After breakfast, you will be taken to catch your flight to next destination.Tips: optional activities can be arranged for you if your flight or train schedule is in the late afternoon or evening..
