Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Beijng Arrival

Arrive at Beijing airport, our car will pick you up and transfer to you hotel.

Day 2 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Coal Hill, Beihai Park, Shichahai Hutong, Houhai area

Our first stop is the impressive Tiananmen Square, where most of the national ceremonies are held. From the square, you can walk to the splendid Forbidden City. Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travelers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs.

Then we walk to Coal Hill, which is a royal garden in the past where we can enjoy a panoramic view of Forbidden City. Then we drive to Beihai Park, a former imperial Garden. After that, we drive to Shichahai Hutong to visit the traditional residence of Beijing with Rickshaws, which is an old way of transportation. Then we visit Houhai area by walking, which is a part of Shichahai. 

Day 3 Beijing

Today we first visit the fascinating Badaling Great Wall; we take the cable car up, and walk down. Then we drive to visit Summer Palace. The palace was used as the royal family’s “Palace to avoid the heat” when in summer. Then we drive to Olympic park to see the modern masterpiece – Bird Nest & Water Cube. In the evening, we shall see the Kongfu Show by regular seats.

Day 4 Beijing – Xian

Today we first visit Temple of Heaven, where ever the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Gods of Heaven. Then we go to Silk Market, in which you’ll find nearly all the things you want to buy. Then we transfer to station for Bullet Train to Xian by 2nd class seats. Upon arrival, our guide and driver in Xian will pick you up and drive to the hotel for rest. 

Day 5 Xian

Sightseeing and Activities: Terra Cotta Warriors, Shaanxi Historical Museum, South Gate Old City Wall, Muslim Quarter

Today you will be driven to the suburb area to marvel at the powerful Qin Terra Cotta Warriors. Then we drive back to the city and go to visit Shaanxi History Museum, known as “the pearl of Xian, the treasury of China”. After the museum, we’ll visit South Gate Old City Wall, which is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then we go to Muslim Quarter. There are about ten mosques in this area, among which the Great Mosque is the most famous and popular. 

Day 6 Xian – Jiuzhaigou

Today we’ll take the flight to Jiuzhaigou. Then we’ll drive to visit Huanglong Scenic. The ‘World Wonder’ and ‘Fairy Land on Earth’ are names enjoyed by the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, which is well known for its colorful lakes, snow clad mountains, valleys and virgin forest. After the tour in Huanglong, we’ll drive to Jiuzhaigou for overnight. 

Day 7 Jiuzhaigou

Located in the north of Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou County is part of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. With some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery on earth and some of the reserves scenic spots considered holy by the local Tibetan and Qiang people, it is no wonder a number of mysterious legends surround the wonderful landscape of Jiuzhaigou. We’ll spend a day in here. 

Day 8 Jiuzhaigou – Chengdu – Leshan – Emeishan

In the morning we drive to the airport and take flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, we drive to Leshan; The Leshan Giant Buddha is a statue of Maitreya in sitting posture. Facing the river, the Buddha has symmetrical posture and looks which have been beautifully captured in its solemn stillness. It is 71 meters (about 233 feet) high, and has 8.3-meter-long (about 27 feet) fingers. The 9-meter-wide (about 30 feet) instep is big enough for one hundred people to sit on and the 24-meter-wide (about 79 feet) shoulder is large enough to be a basketball playground. We will take the cruise and also climb the Buddha. Then we’ll drive to Emeishan for overnight. 

Day 9 Emeishan – Chengdu

Mt. Emei is located on the south of Leshan. It is towering, beautiful, old and mysterious, like a huge green screen standing in the southwest of the Chengdu Plain. Looking its winding and beautiful figure, you will find that it resembles very much an eyebrow of a girl. It is the highest one among all the famous sight-seeing mountains in China. We’ll take cable car up to Wannian Temple, then walk to visit Monkey Area. Down from the mountain, we will drive back to Chengdu for overnight

Day 10 Chengdu – Lijiang

Today we first visit Panda Base. The giant pandas are not only a Chinese national treasure but are also beloved by people the world over. In the base you’ll meet incredibly lovely pandas and baby pandas. Most people couldn’t resist. Then we drive to visit Wenshu Temple. After the temple, we’ll take a walk among the famous pedestrian street called Jinli Street, where you’ll find all kinds of delicious food and snacks that can make you slobber and forget the tastiness induced coma that fallows. The last site is Wangjiang Park, after that, We will transfer to airport and take flight to Lijiang. Upon arrival, guide and driver will pick us up and drive to our hotel to rest.

Day 11 Lijiang

Today we start our tour by visiting the Lijiang Ancient Town. Lijiang City, an attractive tourist destination in Yunnan Province, is considered a fairyland blessed with fresh air, clear streams, breathtaking snow mountains and an undisturbed landscape inhabited by a friendly group of people. It exercises jurisdiction over four counties and an Old Town District. This is the main region inhabited by Naxi People, one of China’s 55 minority ethnic groups.

We will start the tour from the Morning Market in the old City, then we’ll visit the Black Dragon Pool inside the city. Then we visit Naxi Museum, which you can get to know the Dongba Culture. After that, we will go to climb up the Lion Hill and enjoy a panoramic view of the whole old city from Wangu Tower on the hill. We will also visit some local markets and shops before back to hotel. 

Day 12 Lijiang

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang

Today we’ll drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Looking from Lijiang Old Town in the south which is 15 kilometers (nine miles) away, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence the name.

Then we’ll drive to Yuhu Village. Then we’ll drive to visit Yufeng Temple. It’s one of the Scarlet Sect lamaseries of Lijiang. The beautiful sceneries around Yufeng Temple are special gifts from the deity. The temple backs onto a snow mountain and faces a meadow. It is surrounded by the flourishing forest and a never-dried river. All this makes it a really good place to visit.

After visiting the temple, we’ll drive to Baisha Ancient Town, which is about 4.9 miles to the north of Lijiang Ancient Town. It is much quieter than Lijiang Ancient City because it is not commercialized. Here you can experience the Naxi people’s peaceful daily life. Then we drive back to our hotel and rest. 

Day 13 Lijiang – Kunming – Guilin

We will take morning flight to Kunming, pick up and drive to Shilin, we will visit the Stone Forest, which is a notable set of limestone formations located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County. The tall rocks seem to pray to the ground in the manner of stalagmites, with many looking like petrified trees thereby creating the illusion of a forest made of stone. we will transfer to airport and take flight to Guilin.

Day 14 Guilin

Sightseeing and Activities: Reed Flute Cave,  Elephant Trunk Hill, Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park

We first drive to visit Reed Flute Cave. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations along this 240-meter-long cave. 

Visit Elephant Trunk Hill which is the badge of Guilin city. The whole hill looks exactly like a huge elephant stretching its trunk drinking water of the Li River. It is the masterpiece of karst landscape, composed of pure limestone deposited on seabed 360million years ago. You can climb up to the top and take full view of Guilin’s hills and rivers. Walking along the Li River and enjoy a short visit to Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park by walking around Shanhu Lake and viewing the Golden and Silver Twin Pagodas from distance.

Day 15 Guilin

Sightseeing and Activities:  Longji Rice Terraces, Huanglo Yao Village, Longji Zhuang Village

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and get ready for today’s excursion to Longji Rice Terraces. Then drive to Longji about 2 hours. It is mountain road and you can see some small terraces scenery outside the window as warm-up. Upon arrival, change for the shuttle bus provided by the scenic spot. Our guide will accompany with you throughout the tour. The shuttle bus will stop at Huanglo Yao Village and you will have chance to watch Long Hair Show and folk dance with an optional cost in the village. Start hiking to Ping An village from there which are all flagstone road and path. Climb up to the mountain about half an hour with breath-taking view on the way.

Continue hiking to Longji Zhuang Village via stone trail to Zhuang village about 2.5 hours. It is the classic hiking route in Longji terrace field, smoothly and leisurely.You will appreciate the endless terrace field and gorgeous view on the mountain on the road.

Drive back to Guilin city.

Day 16 Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Li River on Cruise.You will enjoy cruise down the Li River with lunch on board. Deluxe cruise will be arranged with decent facility and good service. Savor the fairy-tale scenery while cruising down the meandering river to Yangshuo. You can go on the sundeck or just sit and appreciate the view from the picture windows.

After disembarking, stroll around the West Street which is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It now becomes a place that mixes the eastern and western culture harmoniously. West Street in Yangshuo has developed into the most prosperous area in Yangshuo. Take a biking tour to enjoy the beauty of countryside of Yangshuo before driving back to Guilin.

Back to the hotel and rest of day at leisure, for evening activities, we suggest you walk by the four lakes or take the night cruise along the city waterway.

Day 17 Guilin – Shanghai

Today we drive back to Guilin airport for flight to Shanghai, the guide and driver will pick us up and transfer to hotel for a short rest. Then we go to visit Jewish Quarter incl the Synagogue and French Concession. In the evening, you’ll be entertained by the Acrobatic show at the theater. Then we drive back to our hotel. 

Day 18 Shanghai

Today we first visit Yu Garden including nearby Bazzars. In Yuyuan, you can see the sophisticated design and fine layout of pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters. Then we visit Shanghai Museum, which specializes in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies and paintings. After that, we will take a walking tour of Nanjing Road and The Bund to enjoy the modern view of Shanghai. Then we go to take elevator up to the TV Tower and take an overlook of the Shanghai City. Transfer to hotel and rest.

Day 19 Shanghai

Today we drive to visit the beautiful Water Town of Zhujiajiao including boat cruise. Then we drive back to Shanghai and visit Tianzifang area. Transfer back to our hotel.

Zhujiajiao town, is located in the west of Shanghai and the south of qingpu district, and is close to Dianshan lake scenic area. It is bordered by Daxing and Huancheng in the east, Dianshan lake and Daguanyuan scenic spot in the west, Shenxiang Town in the south (merged with it in 2001), and Dianshanhu town in Kunshan city, jiangsu province in the north.

“Tianzifang” its name is actually painter Huang Yongyu a few years ago to this old alley from the elegant name. Tianzifang has the flavor of residential houses in the lane. In addition to creative shops, galleries and photography exhibitions, there are also various cafes in the lane.

Day 20 Shanghai Departure
