Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Urumqi Arrival

Sightseeing and Activities: Grand Bazaar
Accommodation: Urumqi
Meals:

Met by our tour guide and escorted to your hotel for a short rest. Then head to visit Grand Bazaar, one of the most famous landmarks in Urumqi city, which is the largest bazaar in the world by scale, combining Islamic culture, architecture, ethnic commerce, tourism and entertainment.

Day 2 Urumqi – Heavenly Lake

Sightseeing and Activities: Xinjiang Museum, Heavenly Lake

After breakfast at hotel and then head to Xinjiang Museum. A visit to Xinjiang’s capital of Urumqi would be incomplete without a visit to the Xinjiang Museum. It is a comprehensive historical museum in China built in 1953, and famous for holding artifacts and mummies of Caucasians who lived in the region 1500 and 4000 years ago.

After that, continue today’s tour to Heavenly Lake, 98km northeast of Urumqi downtown. It is a crescent alpine lake in the north of Bogda Peak, which enjoys crystal water due to melted snow as its source. Cruise on the lake and stroll around the lake after that.

After the tour, drive back to Urumqi for overnight.

Day 3 Urumqi – Turpan

Sightseeing and Activities: Bezklik Grottoes, Tuyoq Valley, Jiaohe Ruins

Morning, drive to Turpan city to visit Bezklik Grottoes, Tuyoq Valley, and Jiaohe Ruins. Bezklik Grottoes is a complex of Buddhist cave grottos. Tuyoq Valley is a gorgeous valley with a long history, splendid culture and charming natural scenery and Jiaohe Ruins is a natural fortress located atop a steep cliff on a leaf-shaped plateau between two deep river valleys.

Day 4 Turpan – Urumqi – Kashgar

Sightseeing and Activities: Karez Irrigation system, Sugong Minaret
Accommodation: Kashgar
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, drive to visit Karez Irrigation system and Sugong Minaret. Located in the Turpan Depression, Karez Irrigation system is a vertical tunnel system adapted by the Turpan people. At 44 meters high, Sugong Minaret is the tallest minaret in China.

After the tour, drive back to Urumqi and take the flight to Kashgar.

Day 5 Kashgar

Sightseeing and Activities: Sunday Bazaar, Apak Hoja Tomb, Id Kah Mosque, Old town, Handicraft Street

Today start the tour with Id Kah Mosque, one of the biggest mosque in China, which was built by Saqsiz Mirza in 1442. Then head to handcraft street, which is full of unique and exotic goods. It is one of the most featured street in various local handicrafts in and around Kashgar Xinjiang China.

After that, visit the Abakh Hoja Tomb, the largest Islamic mausoleum of Xinjiang. It is most known as the Tomb of Xiang Fei, who is one of theimperial concubines of Emperor Qianlong. Continue the tour to Sunday Bazaar, the busiest part of the city, which covers a total area of 0.17 square kilometers with more than 5,000 stable stalls.

At last, visit Kashgar Old Town, a major stop along the Silk Road, where is full of Uygur style folk residences.

Day 6 Kashgar – Karakul Lake

Morning head to view the fantastic scenery of Karakul Lake. It is the highest lake of the Pamir Plateau. Enjoy the crystal water, the peaks and blue sky, and also the creatures here.

After the tour, drive back to Kashgar for overnight.

Day 7 Kashgar – Torugart Border – Naryn

Sightseeing and Activities: Chatyr kul Lake
Accommodation: Naryn town
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Morning, drive about 180km to Torugart Border. Met by the Kyrgyz driver and guide. Then continue drive to Naryn town. Enjoy the third largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Chatyr kul Lake.

Day 8 Naryn – Bishkek

Sightseeing and Activities: Kochkor village, Burana Tower, open air museum of Balbals
Accommodation: Bishkek
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today drive about 6-7 hours to Bishkek. Enjoy the mountain roads and high passes along the way. Then arrive in Kochkor village. Have lunch with the locals. Also visit a small local Handicraft museum. After that, drive back to Bishkek. On route, stop to visit Burana Tower and an open air museum of Balbals.

Day 9 Bishkek

Sightseeing and Activities: Ala-Too Square, Dubovy Park, Asian Bazaar
Accommodation: Bishkek
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today we will visit the Bishkek city, including Ala-Too Square, Dubovy Park and Asian Bazaar. Built іn 1984 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Kyrgyz SSR, Ala-Too Square is the central square іn Bishkek. Dubovy Park is a home to the Open-air Sculpture Museum.

Day 10 Bishkek Departure
