Ningxia Museum is located in east of people square in Yinchuan City, which is a provincial-level comprehensive museum. Finished building in 1973, Ningxia Museum covers an area of 30,258 suqare meters, four floors in 21.2 meter high. The collections reach 40,000 and first-grade historical relics total 159. From first floor to third floor, people can see about 12 exhibition hall. The museum displays more than 10,000 cultural relics.

Why is Ningxia Museum so special?

Ningxia Museum was an amalgamation of the Ningxia Cultural Museum, Western Xia Dynasty Cultural Museum, Ningxia Revolutionary Museum and Islamic People’s Museum. The museum assembles the Chinese character “Hui” and aims to fully display Hui culture. It consists of eight exhibition halls covering the Hui culture, stone rubbings from the Helan Mountains and Western Xia relics, etc.
