Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

When it comes to flying to Chongqing, Chongqing Jiangbei Airport is usually involved. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is located in Yubei District of Chongqing, 19 kilometers from the city center, and it is one of the eight regional hub airports in China. In December 2013, it became the fifth Chinese air port to implement the 72-hour transit visa-free policy. By December 2018, Jiangbei airport had opened a total of 329 routes to 203 cities. Among them, there were 247 domestic routes (244 for passenger and 3 for freight) to 142 navigable cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Kunming, Lijiang and Jiuzhaigou, etc. There were 82 international and regional routes (68 for passenger and 14 for freight) to 61 navigable cities, including Phuket, Singapore, Bangkok, Osaka, Sydney, etc. Currently, there are 12 base airlines in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, including Air China, Sichuan Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Western Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Huaxia Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Donghai Airlines.

Metro/Subway

It is most convenient to take the subway from the airport to the city center and the railway stations, and the operation time is approximately from 6:00 to 22:30.

• Airport-Jiefangbei: Take line 3 from the airport to Niujiaotuo station, and then transfer to line 2 there to Linjiangmen station, finally get out from exit B1, or take line 10 to Hongtudi station and then transfer to line 6 to Xiaoshizi station, and get out from exit 5A. The whole journey is about an hour, cost 6 yuan.
• Airport-Hongya Cave: Take line 10 from the airport to Hongtudi station and then transfer to line 6 to Xiaoshizi station, and get out from exit 9. The whole journey is about an hour, cost 6 yuan.
• Airport-North Railway Station: Take line 3 or line 10 from the airport to Chongqing north railway station directly, anout 30-40 minutes.

Long-distance Bus

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport T3A long-distance bus station is located in the comprehensive transportation hub in the south of terminal 3A. It is constructed according to the first-grade station standard and has access to nearly 50 routes around Chongqing and neighboring provinces. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport terminal 2 long-distance passenger transfer center, located between airport T2A and T2B, was officially opened on January 1, 2010. The passenger transfer center consists of a waiting hall, ticket office, luggage hall and parking lot, etc., with a dispatching room, security room, broadcasting room, medical aid room, barrier-free passage, service facilities for the disabled, and rest rooms for drivers and passengers. Chongqing airport expressway, or airport road, named "Yudu Avenue", starts from Hongqihegou in Jiangbei district in the south and ends at Shuangfengqiao of Yubei District in the north, with a total length of 22.83 kilometers and 8 lanes in both directions. It is also a section of national highway 210.

Chongqing Airport Second Expressway

Chongqing airport second expressway, or airport express road, named "Yuhang Avenue", is divided into south and north two sections with the Yangtze river as the boundary. The southern section starts from Huangjuewan interchange in Nanan district and ends at Cuntan Yangtze river bridge in the north. The north section of the project is connected to Cuntan bridge in the south and Jiangbei international airport terminal 3 in the north, including Paomaping interchange, Shibazi interchange and Taoziwan interchange.

Chongqing Wanzhou Wuqiao Airport

Wanzhou Wuqiao Airport, located in Wanzhou District of Chongqing, China, is 5 kilometers away from the downtown of Wanzhou. Wanzhou Wuqiao airport was approved by the state council and the central military commission in November 1997. Construction started in early 2000, and it was put into operation on May 29, 2003. By 2019, Wanzhou Wuqiao airport had a terminal, one runway, 5 gate positions and 22 navigable cities, including Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai Pudong, Beijing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Nanjing, Nanning, Haikou, Urumqi, Wenzhou, Xiamen, Xi'an, Fuzhou, Guiyang, Tianjin, Lhasa, Zhuhai, Pattaya and Siem Reap.

Chongqing Wushan Airport

Chongqing Wushan Airport is located at the junction of Wushan and Fengjie counties, 15 kilometers away from Wushan county. Chongqing Wushan Airport was completed at the end of 2018. In 2019, the project of Chongqing Wushan Airport has been completed and was ready for navigation. On August 16, 2019, Chongqing Wushan Airport was officially opened to traffic. The first plane of Huaxia airlines took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and flew to Chongqing Wushan Airport. There are flights to Chongqing, Yantai and Guangzhou currently.
