2 Days Weifang Kite Culture and Festival Tour

Day 1 Weifang Arrival

Welcome to Weifang, the Kite Capital of the World! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which says your name. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will transfer you directly to your hotel. Your guide will help you check in.

After a break in your hotel, have a nice walk in Weifang Kite Square. You could join the locals fly a kite, view all kinds of kite sculptures, and relax yourself in the leisure life.

(Please note: The world-famous Weifang Kite Festival is held from April 20 to April 25 every year. Lots of kite experts, fans and visitors from home and abroad come and join in this grand festival. )

Day 2 Weifang & Weifang Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick up at your hotel. The first stop of today is Kite Museum, the largest professional kite museum in the world, giving a very interesting overview of the development and the art of making kites.

Later, you’ll head to Yangjiabu Folk Culture View Garden. Formerly called Yangjiabu Kite Factory, it is the largest kite factory in China. Here, you’ll view “the longest kite in the world”, catch rare chance to experience kite making and folk painting, appreciate the local lifestyle through the ancient folk customs.

The last activity today is visiting Shihu Garden. Built in Ming Dynasty, it is the most famous and only remaining ancient Weifang gardens. Shihu Garden features symmetric and free styles with some similarities of Suzhou Gardens.

After the tour, transfer to the airport/train station to catch a flight or train to your next destination. Service ends!
