The park is known for its Danxia landforms, geological relics, and natural scenery, making it a perfect destination for family trips, geological education, and photography enthusiasts.

Key Attractions & Features

Danxia Landforms & Geological Wonders

The park showcases typical Danxia (丹霞) landforms, with layers of red rock formations creating dramatic landscapes like the “Flaming Mountain” Gorge (火焰山峡谷) and the “Heavenly Immortals” rock pillar group (天外飞仙). These features are often referred to as a “natural geological museum.” The Guidegou Scenic Area (归德沟景区) includes five major sites, including the ancient Great Wall beacon tower, rock art, Zua Donggou (钻洞沟), Shao Yao Tian Yuan (沙窑田园), and Ji Ji Tan (芨芨滩). Within Zua Donggou, visitors can explore “Crane Peak” (仙鹤峰) and “Seven Immortals Pond” (七仙潭), among other stone formations.

The temple’s architecture is beautifully dispersed, and it has been visited by notable figures, including Empress Dowager Cixi, who once praised it as the “National Protector and Longevity Buddha Zen Temple.”

Jiu Cai Gou (韭菜沟): An ancient canyon, stretching 10 kilometers, with clear creek waters. Visitors can experience both natural wonders like “Lover’s Peak” (情侣峰) and “Heaven’s Gate” (天门洞), as well as relics from the Ming Dynasty Great Wall and military remains.
