The Wudang Mountain Gate (武当山门) is an imposing ancient-style structure that serves as the main entrance to the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area. It was designed by the Hubei Industrial Architecture Design Institute and built with investment from the Wudang Mountain Special Economic Zone. Constructed in 1988, the Wudang Mountain Gate is an ancient-style stone archway featuring six columns and five openings. Standing at 11.9 meters tall and 21.6 meters wide, the central gate is 6.4 meters high and 5.4 meters wide, accommodating vehicles. The archway is adorned with the three bold characters “Wudang Mountain” (武当山) inscribed above the gate. The railing and eaves are intricately carved with cloud patterns, giving the structure an awe-inspiring and majestic presence. This gateway is a perfect spot for taking memorable photos.
