Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Sightseeing and Activities: Beijing Arrival

Upon arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China, you will be welcomed by the tour guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Have a good rest after long journey.

Day 2 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Tian’anmen Square,  Forbidden City,  Jingshan Park, Houhai Lake, Hutong Tour

Tiananmen Square in Beijing

Today, we will start to explore the historical city of Beijing. In the morning, you will be met by our guide, first we will reach the Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Walk through the square and visit today’s highlight Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Walk to Jingshan Park, where gives a nice panoramic view of the Forbidden City at the top of Coal Hill.

After lunch, drive to Houhai Lake, the marvelous place to discover the history of Beijing City and the endless charm. We will experience a unique Hutong tour by taking a rickshaw. Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane and are very typical in Beijing. Most of them were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the Hutong is a living museum of Beijing history showing the traditional lifestyle of Beijing people

We will transfer back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Mutianyu Great Wall, Olympic Park, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing

You will be met by our guide at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Great Wall.

Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is popular among foreign visitors. Upon arrival, you can choose to hike on the Great Wall, or take cable car up and roam around.

Drive back to Beijing city, while you can take a nap in the car. You will take a short stop at the Beijing Olympic Park to view its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.  There are the amazing architectures that built for Beijing Olympic Games.

Back to the hotel after today’s tour. We would highly recommend you take a traditional Chinese foot massage, or have fun at Sanlitun Bar Street in the evening.

Day 4 Beijing – Xian by Bullet Train

Sightseeing and Activities: Summer Palace
Accommodation: Xian
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning, you will check out from your hotel. Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and drive to visit Summer Palace, which is the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. 

After lunch, you will be transferred to Beijing West Railway Station for the high speed train(about 5hrs) to Xian. The local guide will wait you at Xi’an North Station, and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5 Xian

Sightseeing and Activities: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, Big Goose Pagoda

Terracotta Army, Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Xian

You will be met at the hotel lobby and start today’s tour for the Ancient city.

Drive to Terracotta Warriors and explore one of the world’s most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation. Shuttle bus will be arranged for your convenience. Then you will have a chance to visit pottery figurine factory, where you can learn how to make a pottery figurine.

Visit the Ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. You could cycle or take sightseeing car on the wall. After that, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It’s the landmark building of Xian and symbol of China ancient capital and you will also have chance to watch the fountain show at the North Square of the Big Goose Pagoda.

Back to the hotel after the tour.

Day 6 Xian – Shanghai by Flight

Sightseeing and Activities:  Hanyang Mausoleum
Accommodation: Shanghai
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

You will have free leisure time to pack up and check out in the morning. Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby, after lunch, drive to Xian airport, on the way visit the Hanyang Mausoleum, the largest museum with largest floor space in China.

Take a flight to Shanghai, your local tour guide will meet you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.

Day 7  Shanghai

Sightseeing and Activities: Shikumen, the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Tower
Accommodation: Shanghai

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Modern city of China.

Fiest we will walk into the Shikumen, the old alley with old buildings, a blend of Western and Chinese traditional culture, where the local residents still live there. Enjoy orientation walk on the Bund which was a foreign trade center from the late 19th century. Then continue to visit the Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden in Shanghai downtown.

In the afternoon, visit Jade Buddha Temple. which is a venerable and famous Buddhist temple built in 1928. If you’re lucky, you can watch the monks serving a ceremony in a side room. Then continue our trip to Shanghai Tower which is the city skyline and Shanghai tallest building, enjoy panoramic view of Shanghai city.

Back to the hotel after the tour, on the route you can plan for the night Acrobatic Show, especially the ERA show, which is one of the most popular evening entertainments in Shanghai.

Day 8 Shanghai Departure
