Location: The garden is located at No. 4 Gusheng Road, Gulangyu Island, Siming District, Xiamen City (厦门思明区鼓浪屿古升路4号), adjacent to Sunlight Rock to the east, Gulang Villa to the west, and Meihua Beach to the south.

Opening Hours: Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Diverse Plant Collections: The garden boasts over 1,000 plant germplasm resources introduced from more than ten countries and regions across five continents. Among these, over 100 types of plant germplasm resources have been applied and promoted. It is home to a variety of tropical and subtropical plants, including food crops, vegetables, fruits, flowers, trees, medicinal herbs, and spices.

Rice Variety “Keqing No. 3”: Introduced by the garden in the 1960s, this rice variety has been widely planted in 13 provinces (cities) in southern China, covering tens of millions of acres. It has been recognized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and relevant government departments.

Unique Plant Introductions: The garden was the first in China to introduce a large number of fragrant beverage plants such as vanilla, passion fruit, and peeled pineapple. It also features a wide variety of indoor and outdoor ornamental plants, including palms, araucarias, agaves, arums, caraganae, and pineapple plants.

Research Facilities: The garden houses offices, plant introduction and domestication laboratories, plant quarantine laboratories, and a biotechnology center. The State Planning Commission has established the “National Foreign Crop Introduction Quarantine Base” here, one of only two such bases in southern China. The park employs five senior and five intermediate professional technical personnel and is equipped with advanced facilities such as an ultracentrifuge, a high-speed freezing centrifuge, system microscope, inverted microscope, ultra-low-temperature refrigerator, PCR, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and UV spectrophotometer.

By Ferry: Take a ferry to Gulangyu Island. Ferries depart frequently from Shuihao Pier and Sh粟码头 (Suzhou Pier) to Gulangyu Island. The journey takes about 10 minutes.
