Lanzhou, located on the banks of the Yellow River, is the capital city and cultural center of Gansu Province in Northwest China. It is the only city where the Yellow River passes through and one of the major points on the ancient Silk Road. The city is surrounded by mountains and waters, forming a unique and beautiful urban landscape. Here are the Five Spring Mountain Park which is famous for its five springs and several Buddhist temples. The Zhongshan Bridge was the first permanent bridge over the Yellow River.
