Xiangtan Planning Exhibition Hall

The Xiangtan Planning Exhibition Hall (湘潭规划展览馆) is a three-story venue located at No. 1, Xiangxiang Road, Xiangtan City. Its doors open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m., with the last entry at 4:30 p.m. It’s closed on Mondays and certain holidays. Admission is free with ID card registration.
The hall showcases Xiangtan’s past, present, and future plans. On the first floor, you’ll find an overview of the city, its history, and its achievements. Highlights include a grand golden lobby,浮雕群, and a 3-minute dynamic sand painting illustrating the city’s development.
The second floor delves into the city’s planning framework. You can explore the urban layout through a large-scale physical sandbox and experience cutting-edge tech like AR for virtual handshakes with historical figures and VR for virtual train rides.
On the third floor, discover industry-specific plans, industrial park layouts, and county/city/district strategies. The Smart Xiangtan Interactive Experience Hall offers a glimpse into the city’s digital future.
Outside, you’ll find the Xiangtan Planning Exhibition Hall, a large venue with 15 exhibition halls and China’s biggest CAVE three-panel theater. Here, visitors can appreciate the city’s貌 through a master plan sandbox and participate in interactive activities to envision Xiangtan’s future.
