After breakfast, drive approximately 1.5 hours to Anxi County, globally renowned as the heartland of Tieguanyin Oolong Tea, one of China’s Top 10 Famous Teas.

Your first stop is Xiping Village, the birthplace of Tieguanyin and home to the legendary original Tieguanyin mother bush. Walk through the village and surrounding tea hills to understand how geography and climate shape the tea’s unique aroma.

Eryilou Tulou, Tea Gardens, Local Tea Wholesale Market

Today, drive about two hours to Hua’an County, the second-largest Tieguanyin producing area in China, known for its well-preserved rural landscapes and tea traditions.

Begin with a visit to the Dadi Tulou Cluster, featuring the iconic Eryilou, the largest round Tulou in China. This remarkable earthen structure blends Chinese and Western architectural styles and is decorated with over 900 murals, reflecting local history and aesthetics.

Afterward, explore nearby tea gardens, where rolling hills are covered with tea bushes. Learn about tea cultivation techniques and seasonal harvesting practices. Continue to a local tea wholesale market, where farmers and traders gather, offering insight into regional tea commerce. In the afternoon, return to Xiamen.

Tenfu Tea Museum

Drive approximately two hours to Zhangzhou to visit the world-famous Tenfu Tea Museum. Built between 2000 and 2002, this is the largest tea museum in the world, covering an area of over 13 acres.

Inside the museum, explore extensive exhibitions on Chinese and global tea history, tea processing techniques, tea ware, and tea ceremonies. Live tea art performances showcase the elegance and philosophy behind traditional Chinese tea culture.
