Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Morning Visit: Potala Palace
After breakfast, head to Potala Palace, one of Tibet’s most iconic landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This majestic structure has stood for centuries as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama and remains a spiritual center for Tibetans.

Explore the Palace: Visit the numerous chapels, rooms, and the tomb of the Dalai Lama, where important Buddhist relics are housed. Learn about Tibetan history, religion, and the significance of this royal palace.

Stunning Views: Don’t forget to enjoy the breathtaking views of Lhasa and the surrounding mountains from the top of the palace.
Lunch:
Enjoy lunch at a local Tibetan restaurant in Lhasa, where you’ll have the chance to taste traditional Tibetan dishes like tsampa (roasted barley flour), momo (dumplings), and yak butter tea.
Afternoon Visit: Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street
Jokhang Temple: After lunch, visit Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s holiest site. Founded in the 7th century by the 33rd king of Tibet, the temple houses a revered 12-year-old statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. Pilgrims from all over Tibet gather here to offer prayers.
Barkhor Street:
Barkhor Street surrounds Jokhang Temple and is one of the oldest and most famous streets in Lhasa. Here, you can walk alongside pilgrims, explore the vibrant market, and purchase traditional Tibetan handicrafts, religious items, and souvenirs.

Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake - Gyantse - Shigatse
Drive to Yamdrok Lake:
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s sacred lakes and one of the highest lakes in the world. Known for its brilliant turquoise waters, the lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offers a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Gampala Pass: On your way, stop at Gampala Pass (4,790 meters) for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. You can also enjoy views of Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, the highest mountain near Lhasa.
Lunch:
Enjoy a traditional lunch by the lakeside, with local Tibetan dishes prepared by a family restaurant.
Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum:
Continue your drive to Gyantse, Tibet’s third-largest city. Visit Pelkor Monastery, one of Tibet’s most important monasteries. Explore the Gyantse Kumbum (the largest stupa in Tibet), and take in the panoramic views of Gyantse Fortress from the top of the stupa.
Continue to Shigatse:
After your visit to Gyantse, continue your journey to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city.

Shigatse - Everest Base Camp
Morning Departure to Everest Base Camp:
After breakfast, begin the most exciting day of your journey—heading towards Mount Everest.
Gawula Pass: The journey starts with a drive through the Gawula Pass (5,198 meters), one of the best spots to admire the majestic Himalayas. From this vantage point, you’ll have breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks, including Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu—some of the highest mountains in the world.
Drive to Everest Base Camp:
Continue the drive along winding roads to Everest Base Camp (EBC) (5,200 meters), the final destination where you’ll be able to stand in awe of Mount Everest up close.

Himalayan Views: As you approach EBC, the towering Mount Everest gradually rises into view. You’ll pass through the Everest National Nature Reserve, which offers some of the most spectacular high-altitude views of the Himalayas.

Photo Opportunities: Stop along the way for photos and to take in the vast, untouched landscape that stretches for miles.
Evening at Everest Base Camp:
Depending on the weather and timing, you may be able to catch a stunning sunset view of Mount Everest as the light casts a golden glow over the towering peak.
Take time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at EBC, where you can see prayer flags fluttering in the wind and feel the grandeur of the Himalayas surrounding you.

If conditions allow, stay in the EBC tent hotels (available during warmer months). Otherwise, stay in a local village near the base camp for a more comfortable, sheltered experience.

Everest Base Camp to Shigatse
Morning Sunrise at Everest:
Sunrise over Everest: Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Everest. If the weather permits, you’ll be treated to a golden glow spreading across the snowy peaks, creating a magical moment.
Visit Rongbuk Monastery:
After sunrise, visit Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world (5,100 meters), home to both monks and nuns. This monastery offers stunning views of Mount Everest and serves as an important spiritual and cultural center for Tibetan Buddhists.
Drive Back to Shigatse:
Begin the return journey to Shigatse, passing through Dinggye and enjoying more Himalayan views from Dinggye Xilin Viewpoint.

View of Mount Everest: From this viewpoint, you can catch another majestic view of Everest as well as the eastern slope of the mountain, along with the world’s fourth-highest peak, Lhotse (8,516 meters).

Explore Saga Ancient Town: Make a stop in Saga, a quaint town known for its peaceful atmosphere and Tibetan cultural heritage. You can take a stroll around the Saga Ancient Town before continuing your journey back to Shigatse.
Dinner & Tibetan Performance:
Upon arrival in Shigatse, enjoy a group dinner at Langma Hall, a traditional Tibetan venue where you’ll be entertained by local song and dance performances. Celebrate your Everest journey with your fellow group members while enjoying delicious Tibetan food.

Morning Visit to Tashilunpo Monastery:

After breakfast, visit Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse, one of the six major Gelug monasteries in Tibet. Tashilunpo is the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama and is an important religious and political center in Tibetan Buddhism.

Jampa Buddha: Visit the monastery's main chapel to see the Jampa Buddha (Maitreya Buddha), a colossal 28-meter-high statue made of copper. This statue is one of the largest of its kind in the world and represents the future Buddha.

Return to Lhasa:
