The 12 Days Tibet Group Tour (Lhasa, EBC, Nyingchi & Holy Lakes) is a fully designed in-depth small-group itinerary that showcases the most important cultural, natural, and spiritual highlights of Tibet in a single journey. It connects the region’s four key destinations—Lhasa, Nyingchi, Shigatse, and Everest (EBC)—offering a complete travel experience across monasteries, sacred lakes, Himalayan landscapes, and high-altitude wilderness.

This route is carefully structured for comfort and altitude acclimatization, starting from Lhasa and gradually moving toward higher elevations such as Yamdrok Lake, Shigatse, and Everest Base Camp before returning to lower regions. Along the way, travelers experience a rich contrast between urban Tibetan culture, remote mountain scenery, forest valleys, and glacier landscapes.

The tour is operated as a small group experience (maximum 16 travelers), ensuring a more personal and flexible journey compared to large coach tours. Professional English-speaking guides and experienced local drivers accompany the group throughout, providing both logistical support and cultural interpretation. Accommodation is arranged in carefully selected comfortable hotels (4-star standard with optional upgrades), balancing rest and exploration at high altitude.

Unlike typical sightseeing routes, this itinerary focuses on a complete Tibet experience—covering UNESCO World Heritage monasteries, sacred pilgrimage sites, alpine lakes, and the world’s highest peak. Key highlights include Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Yamdrok Lake, Basumtso Lake, Namtso Lake, Nyingchi’s lush forests, and Everest Base Camp (5,200m), making it one of the most diverse and comprehensive Tibet journeys available.

Overall, this tour is designed for travelers who want to experience Tibet in depth without sacrificing comfort—combining culture, spirituality, nature, photography opportunities, and Himalayan adventure in one well-paced itinerary.

Arrival in Lhasa (3650m) | Airport Pick-up & First Acclimatization

Upon arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (拉萨贡嘎机场) or Lhasa Railway Station, you will be welcomed by your local Tibetan guide holding a traditional Hada (哈达) as a symbol of blessing. A private transfer will take you to your hotel in Lhasa city (about 60 km, 1–1.5 hours’ drive).

After check-in, the entire day is reserved for rest and altitude acclimatization. At 3,650 meters above sea level, it is important to move slowly and allow your body to adjust to the thinner air. Most travelers choose to relax in the hotel, take short walks nearby, and stay well hydrated.

Avoid strenuous activity, alcohol, and showers on the first night if possible. This gentle start helps prepare for the higher-altitude destinations later in the journey.
