Morning Half-Day Hongcun Village Group Tour (4 Hours)

Hotel Pickup & Departure to Hongcun Village

On the evening before departure, your guide will contact you through your hotel between approximately 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM to confirm the exact meeting time for the next morning. If unavailable, a message will be left at the hotel front desk.

In the morning, your English-speaking guide will meet you in your hotel lobby holding a name sign. After pickup, travel by comfortable vehicle from Huangshan City to the beautiful Hongcun Village (宏村).

During the drive, you can enjoy views of Anhui’s countryside scenery, traditional villages, rice fields, and mountain landscapes.

Explore Hongcun Village Scenic Area

Upon arrival, begin your guided exploration of one of China’s most famous ancient villages. Hongcun is renowned for its unique ox-shaped village layout, ancient waterways, elegant Hui-style residences, and peaceful atmosphere.

Main attractions include:

• South Lake (南湖) – the iconic lake with reflections of ancient white-walled houses and willow trees
• Chengzhi Hall (承志堂) – known as the “Folk Forbidden City” for its magnificent wood carvings and luxurious architecture
• Lexu Hall (乐叙堂) – a traditional ancestral hall showcasing Hui clan culture
• Shuren Hall (树人堂) – a classic private residence featuring traditional Confucian educational values
• Ancient stone alleys, bridges, lotus ponds, and centuries-old residences

As you walk through the village, your guide will introduce the history of Hui merchants, traditional Anhui architecture, Feng Shui concepts, and the cultural significance of Hongcun.

The peaceful scenery, reflective waters, and ancient buildings make this village a paradise for photography and cultural exploration.

Lunch Break

Around midday, enjoy free time for lunch at your own expense. Local restaurants in the village offer traditional Anhui cuisine and regional snacks.

Return to Huangshan City

After the visit, transfer back to Huangshan City by vehicle. Guests may choose drop-off at:

• Huangshan Railway Station
• Huangshan Airport

The tour concludes in the early afternoon.
