This 6 Days Budget China Snow Town Small Group Tour is a carefully designed winter itinerary covering the most iconic snow destinations in Northeast China, including Harbin City and the magical China Snow Town. With a maximum group size of 16 travelers, the tour ensures a balance of comfort, affordability, and a more personal travel experience.

The journey begins in Harbin, the famous “Ice City,” where travelers will explore spectacular ice and snow landscapes such as Harbin Ice and Snow World, artistic snow sculptures on Sun Island, and authentic local culture at historic streets and morning markets. The experience combines modern winter attractions with traditional northern Chinese lifestyle.

The tour then continues deep into the snowy mountains to China Snow Town, a fairy-tale winter village known for its heavy snowfall, “snow mushroom” rooftops, and dreamlike night scenery. Here, travelers will enjoy immersive snow activities, forest adventures, and photography opportunities in one of the most beautiful winter destinations in China.

This itinerary is ideal for travelers seeking a complete winter experience that blends city highlights, cultural discovery, and natural snow landscapes—all at a budget-friendly price.

    1

    Arrival in Harbin | Airport Pick-up & Hotel Check-in

Upon arrival at Harbin Taiping International Airport or Harbin Railway Station, you will be greeted by your driver at the exit and transferred directly to your hotel in downtown Harbin.

After hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free at your own pace. This is your first introduction to Harbin, known as China’s “Ice City,” where winter transforms the city into a mix of glowing lights, Russian-style architecture, frozen rivers, and snow-covered streets.

You may choose to rest after your journey or take a short walk near the hotel area to experience local life. Nearby streets often feature bakeries, small restaurants, and illuminated winter scenery that reflects Harbin’s unique cultural blend of Chinese and Russian influences.

This day is designed for relaxation and adjustment to the cold winter climate, preparing you for the exciting snow and ice activities ahead.

    Day

    2

Harbin Winter Highlights | Siberian Tiger Park, Sun Island & Ice and Snow World

After breakfast, start your full-day winter exploration with a visit to the Siberian Tiger Park. This is one of the world’s largest breeding and protection bases for Northeast tigers. You will take a sightseeing vehicle through the park and observe tigers roaming in a semi-wild environment. For a more exciting experience, you may also have the chance to safely feed the tigers under supervision.

Next, continue to Sun Island, famous for its large-scale snow sculpture exhibition. Here, you will walk through a vast outdoor snow art park filled with massive, detailed snow carvings created by international artists. The scenery combines creativity, imagination, and pure winter landscapes.

In the afternoon and evening, visit the highlight of Harbin winter tourism — Harbin Ice and Snow World. This enormous ice theme park is built using blocks cut from the frozen Songhua River and features towering ice castles, illuminated sculptures, bridges, and interactive attractions.

At night, the entire park lights up with colorful LED illumination, turning the ice structures into a glowing fantasy world. You can also enjoy optional activities such as ice slides, snow tubing, and ice entertainment zones, making it one of the most memorable winter experiences in China.

    Day

    3

Harbin Cultural Experience | Morning Market, Cathedral & Historic Streets

Start the morning with a visit to a local street market, where you can experience authentic northeastern Chinese daily life. The market is filled with traditional breakfast foods, local snacks, and lively vendors, offering a real glimpse into Harbin’s local culture and winter lifestyle.

Continue to the iconic St. Sophia Cathedral, a landmark of the city’s Russian heritage. This historic Byzantine-style church is known for its green onion dome and red-brick exterior. Today it functions as an architecture museum showcasing Harbin’s urban history.

Next, explore Central Street, a long pedestrian avenue lined with European-style buildings, souvenir shops, bakeries, and restaurants. It is one of the best places to experience Harbin’s cultural fusion and try local specialties.

Then walk along Stalin Park beside the frozen Songhua River, where locals enjoy winter activities such as skating, sledding, and ice entertainment.

Finally, visit the historic old district of Lao Daowai, known for its Chinese Baroque architecture and traditional neighborhood atmosphere.

After the tour, you will be transferred to Harbin airport or train station for departure or onward travel.

    Day

    4

Harbin → China Snow Town (Xuexiang) | Datudingzi Mountain, Ten-Mile Ice & Snow Gallery, Night View

After breakfast, depart Harbin for a long scenic drive (about 5–6 hours) toward China Snow Town (Xuexiang), officially known as Shuangfeng Forest Farm. The journey gradually shifts from city landscapes into deep forested mountains covered in thick snow.

On the way, experience an exciting snowmobile ride up Datudingzi Mountain, the highest peak in Heilongjiang Province. From the summit area, you’ll see endless snow-covered ridges and frozen forest landscapes stretching into the distance, offering a true “northern wilderness” feeling.

Continue to the Ten-Mile Ice and Snow Gallery, a scenic forest corridor known for its natural rime ice, snow-hanging trees, and dense winter scenery. Here you can enjoy light trekking through pristine woodland and try fun snow activities such as the “Snow Dragon” sled and spinning snow rides. There is also a small wildlife viewing area where you may spot animals like deer and black bears in a semi-natural environment.

By late afternoon, arrive at China Snow Town, famous for its exceptionally heavy snowfall and iconic “snow mushroom” rooftops. As night falls, the village transforms into a glowing winter fairy tale, with red lanterns lighting up snow-covered streets and wooden houses. You can walk along the illuminated streets, take photos of the magical night scenery, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this snow-covered settlement.

Overnight stay in China Snow Town (local guesthouse).

    Day

    5

China Snow Town → Harbin | Sunrise (Optional), Snowy Street, Bangchui Mountain Observation Deck

For early risers, there is an optional sunrise excursion to Yangcao Mountain, where you can climb or take a 4WD transfer to a high viewpoint overlooking China Snow Town. At sunrise, golden light spreads across the forest and village, creating one of the most iconic winter photography scenes in Northeast China.

Return to the village and stroll along Snowy Street, the main pedestrian lane of China Snow Town. The street is lined with wooden houses, local snack stalls, and small souvenir shops. You can try frozen fruits like pears and persimmons, as well as traditional northeastern snacks such as sticky rice buns and local pastries.

Next, visit the Bangchui Mountain Observation Deck, one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the area. From here, you can clearly see the full layout of the village—snow-covered rooftops, winding paths, and smoke rising from chimneys, forming a classic winter postcard view.

After lunch, depart Snow Town and return to Harbin by car (or transfer to Yabuli station for a high-speed train option depending on arrangement). Arrive in Harbin in the evening.

    Overnight in Harbin.

    Day

    6

Harbin Departure | Final Morning, Optional Free Time & Airport Transfer (Extended)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Harbin. Depending on your flight or train schedule, you may still have some free time in the morning for a relaxed final walk or light exploration around the city.

If time allows, you can enjoy a short revisit to nearby attractions such as Zhongyang Pedestrian Street (Central Street) for last-minute souvenirs, Russian-style snacks, or a warm coffee break in one of the historic European-style buildings. Another popular option is a brief stop at a local bakery to try Harbin’s famous Russian-influenced bread or “Madel Ice Cream” even in winter—a symbolic local experience.

For guests with later departures, you may also choose a relaxed stroll near the Songhua River riverside area (seasonal conditions permitting), where you can still see ice activities or frozen river landscapes depending on weather and time of year. This is a good moment for final photography of Harbin’s winter atmosphere without rushing.

You will then be transferred to your departure point:

    • Harbin Taiping International Airport for domestic or international flights
    • Harbin Railway Station or Harbin West Railway Station for high-speed train departures

Your driver will assist with luggage and ensure timely arrival at the station or airport based on your schedule.

    Departure Notes & Travel Tips:

    • It is recommended to leave the hotel at least 3–4 hours before flight time in winter, as road conditions may be affected by snow or traffic.
    • Keep winter clothing accessible until arrival at the airport, as temperatures remain low even indoors during transit.
    • Double-check passport, tickets, and personal belongings before leaving the hotel.
    • If you have extra time at the airport, Harbin airport offers cafés, souvenir shops, and warm waiting lounges for comfort before boarding.

End of service. Your Harbin & China Snow Town winter tour concludes with unforgettable memories of ice sculptures, snow forests, tiger encounters, and fairy-tale villages.

Safe journey onward, and welcome back anytime for your next winter adventure in Northeast China.

Unforgettable and Memorable Trip to Fujian

We wanted to do a 7-day trip to Zhangzhou, Yongding, Quanzhou and Xiamen. We enquired with Yaso who assigned a very responsive travel consultant, Emma who helped us craft our itinerary. We visited the Hakka T(ulou Earthen Buildings), and even stayed overnight in one of the hillside villages nearby. It truly helped us immerse in the culture and ambience of the area. We also visited the buzzing fishery ports and live seafood markets of Quanzhou and Xiamen, and tasted the very diversified, freshest and most delicious seafood of the two cities. We also visited unique seaside villages like Xunpu, architecturally and historically unique ancient villages like Wulin and Chongwu, not forgetting the beautiful island escape, Gulangyu. We were assigned a very friendly and knowledgeable guide Adam, who is sensitive to our needs and preferences and often go out of his way to create a truly wonderful experience throughout the trip, one that showed us the culture, history, daily lives and cuisine of the area beyond the surface. We were also given a clean and comfortable car to travel around, and Mr Chen, the driver is safe and reliable. Emma was also always on hand and responsive to address any little hiccups along the way, and make our trip safe comfortable, smooth and very enjoyable. A big thank you to Adam, Emma and Mr Chen. I highly recommend Yaso, and will certainly consider them for future travel in China.

    A mazing time in yunnan

Just finished a six-day trip to Kunming, Jianshui and Yuanyang. Here are some things I want to share. The schedule was really well planned. We didn’t feel rushed or tired at all, and we had plenty of time to sightsee and relax every day. All the meals were halal, and we tried Jianshui grilled tofu, which was really unique and tasty. I usually get carsick before, but the vehicle was spacious and the driver’s skill was good, so I felt fine during the whole trip. Our tour guide was a wonderful, friendly and thoughtful guy, communication was not a problem at all. I’m so glad to have made a new friend in China. Haigeng Dam in Kunming has beautiful scenery, and we even got the chance to feed the migrating seagulls. What I recommend most is the Yuanyang Terraced Fields. It was such a huge surprise for me because I had never seen before! Besides the amazing natural scenery, you can also see the wisdom of the local people in how they make use of the land. If I ever get the chance to visit Yunnan again, definitely will choose here again.

    a wonderful trip memory

As the No.1 Best Seller Yunnan itinerary, the trip is truly worthwhile. First of all, the selection of destinations is very valuable, since Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, and Shangri-La could represent the complex natural landscapes and diverse ethnic cultures in Yunnan Province. Secondly, it is rational to choose high-speed rail as the mode of transport, as we can witness China's rapid development and significantly shorten the time we spend on the road, by the way, as a solo traveler, I could choose to stay in the quiet carriage, which provided me a comfortable place to rest. Then, the tour guide services are worthwhile, which could make our trip have more meaningful engagement, especially in Yunnan, not only the wonderful landscapes but also the ethnic and cultural diversity. What was most impressive about the trip was the Dali discovery. The Three Pagodas was marvelous, and walking along the Erhai Lake S bay could be one of the most leisure time in my life. Xizhou ancient town was also a great place, where we experienced a unique culture of the Bai minority. The tour guide recommended that we try the Bai three-course tea experience, which could be an unforgettable memory. I think it was an essential part to deeply understand the Bai minority’s culture. All in all, this trip was so great that I can’t wait to recommend it to my friends and invite them to have a meaningful trip with me in Yunnan.
