Half Day Xian Group Tour to Terracotta Warriors and Horses

Morning Hotel Pickup

Between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, your guide and driver will pick you up from your downtown Xi’an hotel. If your hotel is outside the designated pickup area, you may be asked to meet at a central meeting point.

Once all guests are collected, the group will depart for the Terracotta Warriors site. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

During the drive, your guide will introduce Xi’an’s historical importance as the capital of ancient China and explain the legacy of the Qin Dynasty.

Terracotta Figures Workshop Visit

Before arriving at the museum, stop at a local Terracotta Figures Factory, where you will gain insight into the traditional production of Terracotta warriors.

Here you can:

• Observe craftsmen shaping and painting clay figures
• Learn how replicas of ancient warriors are created
• Understand historical restoration techniques
• Explore miniature warrior souvenirs available for purchase
• Discover how ancient craftsmanship continues today

This short visit helps you better understand the artistic process behind the Terracotta Army.

Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum

Continue to the highlight of the tour: the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum (秦始皇兵马俑博物馆), often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”

This UNESCO-listed site was built to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife and remains one of the most important archaeological discoveries ever made.

During your visit, explore:

• Pit 1: The largest excavation hall with thousands of infantry soldiers, chariots, and bronze weapons
• Pit 2: A diverse military formation including archers, cavalry, and crossbow units
• Pit 3: Believed to be the military command headquarters of the underground army

Your guide will explain:

• The history of the Qin Empire
• The construction of the Terracotta Army
• Archaeological discovery in 1974 by local farmers

Return to Xi’an

After completing the museum visit, the group will return to Xi’an city. You will be dropped off at your hotel, concluding your half-day historical experience.
