During the visit, you will see giant pandas of different ages, from energetic young pandas climbing trees to adult pandas leisurely eating bamboo. You will also visit the Panda Nursery to see adorable baby panda cubs and learn more about panda breeding and conservation efforts in China.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

In the morning, meet your guide and transfer from downtown Chengdu to the famous Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, located about 40 minutes away from the city center. The base is surrounded by lush bamboo groves and peaceful gardens, creating an ideal environment for giant pandas to live and breed.

Upon arrival, take a leisurely walk along the shaded bamboo paths while visiting different panda enclosures. You will have the opportunity to observe giant pandas of all ages as they eat bamboo, climb trees, play with one another, or simply relax in their natural surroundings. Morning is considered the best time to visit because pandas are generally more active during feeding hours.

Afterward, continue to the Panda Nursery to see the adorable baby panda cubs. Depending on the season, you may even witness very young newborn pandas resting in carefully designed incubators. Your guide will also introduce interesting facts about panda conservation efforts and the importance of protecting this endangered species.

Later, visit the red panda enclosure to meet these small, raccoon-like animals known for their fluffy tails and playful personalities. After completing the tour, leave the panda base and transfer back to central Chengdu, where the tour ends near Tianfu Square around noon.

  Tomorrow (23rd, Nov), there's a group tour to Chengdu Panda Base and Leshan Giant Buddha. It is CNY 670/pax.
  Itinerary:
  7:00-8:00am, hotel pick-up(A hotel within the second ring road). Then drive to visit Chengdu Research Centre of Giant Panda Breeding. After that, drive to Leshan. After lunch on your own expense, visit Leshan Giant Buddha by walking. 4:30pm-6:30pm, drive back to Chengdu City. Tour ends near Tianfu Squar.
  Price includes: Entrance tickets, tour vehicles, excellent English-speaking tour guide;
  Price excludes: Tips to guide and driver( RMB 20-50/person based on their service, optional activity for buddha sightseeing boat ticket, RMB 70/person), meals: RMB 50/person
