After breakfast, depart from Wangxian Valley (望仙谷) and travel toward Wuyuan (婺源), widely known as “China’s most beautiful countryside.” The journey gradually shifts from dramatic canyon landscapes to soft rural scenery, featuring rice fields, rivers, and traditional Huizhou-style villages.
Arrive at Huangling Village (篁岭), one of the most iconic cliffside villages in Wuyuan (婺源). Take the cable car up to the village, where traditional white-walled, black-tiled houses are arranged along the hillside, overlooking layered terraced fields and mountain valleys.
Begin exploring the ancient village area, starting with the Cao Family Ancestral Hall (曹氏宗祠), a well-preserved Ming Dynasty structure that showcases traditional Huizhou architecture, wood carvings, and historical inscriptions. Continue along the main village street to the Sun-drying Workshop (晒秋工坊), where the famous “Shaiqiu (晒秋)” harvest culture is displayed. Locals dry seasonal crops such as chili peppers, corn, pumpkins, and grains, creating a vibrant mosaic of colors across rooftops.
Visit Viewing Platform No.3, where panoramic views reveal terraced fields, hillside villages, and traditional Hui-style architecture blending naturally into the landscape. Continue to Leixin Bridge (垒心桥), a glass-bottom suspension bridge stretching across the valley, offering a thrilling view of mountains and village scenery below. Then proceed to Viewing Platform No.2, another scenic viewpoint overlooking the full panorama of Huangling Village (篁岭) and surrounding countryside.
If traveling in spring (March–April), the surrounding area transforms into golden rapeseed flower fields, creating one of the most photogenic rural landscapes in China. Autumn brings chili drying scenes, while winter offers preserved food traditions, making Huangling Village (篁岭) a year-round scenic destination.
After the visit, continue to Sixi Village (思溪村), a peaceful ancient village known for Confucian merchant culture and well-preserved Ming and Qing architecture. Stone bridges, flowing streams, ancient trees, and white-black Hui-style houses create a calm and authentic rural atmosphere, ideal for walking and photography.
After sightseeing, transfer to your hotel in Wuyuan (婺源) for overnight stay.
