Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Avatar Mountains & Scenic Hiking)

Start your day with an early breakfast, then head to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Today you will explore Ten-mile Gallery, Yuanjiajie, and Tianzi Mountain, the core scenic areas of the park. (Please note: the order of visits may be adjusted depending on weather and visitor traffic.)

Begin at Ten-mile Gallery, where sightseeing trams glide past stunning formations such as The God of Longevity Welcoming Guests, The Old Herb Picker, and the Three Sisters Peaks. This scenic valley is full of storytelling landscapes. Taking the tram both in and out allows you to comfortably enjoy the beauty along the route.

Next, visit Yuanjiajie, starting with the Bailong Elevator, the world’s fastest and tallest outdoor lift, ascending from the valley floor to the peak in just 1.5 minutes. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of the striking sandstone pillars. Wander through the misty peaks that inspired the floating Hallelujah Mountains in the film Avatar. Stop at Ecstasy Terrace for breathtaking vistas of hundreds of stone pillars, and continue to The First Bridge, a natural stone bridge connecting two peaks with a 5-meter platform, a rare geological marvel.

Afterwards, take a sightseeing bus to Tianzi Mountain. At Helong Park, admire close-up views of the majestic Yubi Peak and the romantic Fairy Flowers among hundreds of bizarre sandstone formations. For those with energy, hike further to Warrior Training Horse, where dozens of unusual peaks stand tall—one resembling a proud steed and another like a warrior holding the reins. Conclude your visit with a thrilling ride on the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car, descending past a forest of sandstone pillars.

After the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you to downtown Zhangjiajie for hotel check-in.

Optional Attraction – Kongzhong Tianyuan (Field in the Sky, 1–2 hours):
This quieter scenic spot offers spectacular photo opportunities. Visitors usually take a sightseeing bus (round trip CNY 64/pp, not included) to reach the area. Enjoy terraced fields layered among towering stone peaks and gaze at the Bailong Elevator from below. Note that a 30-minute walk is required for a close-up view of the Avatar peaks from the lower observation platforms. Extra caution is advised during rainy or winter days.

    Optional Evening Show:

    Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain

After breakfast, your guide and driver will collect you from your hotel for an exhilarating journey to Tianmen Mountain, one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Zhangjiajie, renowned for its record-breaking single-track circular alpine cableway and the awe-inspiring natural phenomenon, Tianmen Cave.

Stretching 7,455 meters, this cableway is the longest of its kind in the world, offering breathtaking views of Tongtian Avenue (“Avenue toward Heaven”) below, visible from the transparent cable car cabins.

The first part of the tour follows the West Line Visiting Route (Looking for a Wonderland), winding through the mountain’s peak area. Highlights include the Guigu Cliffside Path, a thrilling pathway hugging the cliffs, and the ancient Tianmen Mountain Temple, dating back to the Tang Dynasty, perched majestically atop the mountain.

After the temple visit, you can continue exploring the East Line (Jasper Terrace in The Green Field), hiking towards Yuhu Peak and passing South Overlooking Tianmen Cave, Immortal Source, Yu Hu Peak, and Happy Grove. Alternatively, you may take a forest sightseeing cable car (extra CNY 25/pp) to the Yunmeng Fairy Summit, the best vantage point on Tianmen Mountain, then descend to Turbulent Water at Tianmen (Upper Station of the Transmountain Escalator).

Next, take the Transmountain Escalator down to Tianmen Cave, an extraordinary natural opening formed by geological compression and collapse. Measuring 131.5 meters in height, 57 meters in width, and 60 meters in depth, it is truly a remarkable spectacle. Afterwards, descend the steep 999 Steps (“Stairway to Heaven”) with an incline of up to 45°. Finally, ride the Tianmen Mountain Express Cableway down to the mountain gate parking lot, and transfer via shuttle bus back to the Tianmen Mountain Tourist Center, where your guide and driver will meet you.

Return to your hotel in Zhangjiajie City for a well-deserved rest.

    1. There are three glass skywalks on the mountain (one east, two west). Walking on them costs CNY 5–10/pp.
    2. If mobility is an issue or you want to save energy, you can take the escalator down to Tianmen Cave Square for CNY 32 per ride.

Unforgettable and Memorable Trip to Fujian

We wanted to do a 7-day trip to Zhangzhou, Yongding, Quanzhou and Xiamen. We enquired with Yaso who assigned a very responsive travel consultant, Emma who helped us craft our itinerary. We visited the Hakka T(ulou Earthen Buildings), and even stayed overnight in one of the hillside villages nearby. It truly helped us immerse in the culture and ambience of the area. We also visited the buzzing fishery ports and live seafood markets of Quanzhou and Xiamen, and tasted the very diversified, freshest and most delicious seafood of the two cities. We also visited unique seaside villages like Xunpu, architecturally and historically unique ancient villages like Wulin and Chongwu, not forgetting the beautiful island escape, Gulangyu. We were assigned a very friendly and knowledgeable guide Adam, who is sensitive to our needs and preferences and often go out of his way to create a truly wonderful experience throughout the trip, one that showed us the culture, history, daily lives and cuisine of the area beyond the surface. We were also given a clean and comfortable car to travel around, and Mr Chen, the driver is safe and reliable. Emma was also always on hand and responsive to address any little hiccups along the way, and make our trip safe comfortable, smooth and very enjoyable. A big thank you to Adam, Emma and Mr Chen. I highly recommend Yaso, and will certainly consider them for future travel in China.

Last winter,I went travelling in Dali,Yunnan with the arrangement of West China Tours. The agency was great and it provided us wonderful routes. We enjoyed it very much.It was january, the weather was warm there in winter. We went to Erhai Lake and took a boat. The lake was blue, many sea gulls come from Siberia hibernate there. We spent a good time.I was satisfied with West China Tours,it arranged a good trip for us.The scenery was beautiful and the transportation was convenient.During the trip, the tour guide introduced sceneries for us,with no tip!She was friendly and patient, which made us relaxed.About the meal,we all enjoyed it.It was a special meal in the local area. What a nice trip!I hope I will come back again----the beautiful lake, the attracting place!

Unforgetable Days With West China Tours

What is gone is gone, what is to come keeps coming. The memories with West China tours, however, has been engraved in my mind and will be lasted as long as my life is there. With its considerate services, cosy accomodation, warmhearted guides and drivers, West China Tours really gave me an experience that different from the ones that all by my self or with other agencies. It was totally beyond my expectation when I saw our destination Shangri-la. It was such a picturesque place where has clean rivers and blue sky. During my stay here, the visits to Pudacuo national park and one local family under the help and introduction of our guide made a deep impression on me and even gave me an imptus to llive here some day in the futture. Thanks to West China tours, I can have such an amazing and unforgetable experience in Shangri-la. May it also benefits you on your way.

    A mazing time in yunnan

Just finished a six-day trip to Kunming, Jianshui and Yuanyang. Here are some things I want to share. The schedule was really well planned. We didn’t feel rushed or tired at all, and we had plenty of time to sightsee and relax every day. All the meals were halal, and we tried Jianshui grilled tofu, which was really unique and tasty. I usually get carsick before, but the vehicle was spacious and the driver’s skill was good, so I felt fine during the whole trip. Our tour guide was a wonderful, friendly and thoughtful guy, communication was not a problem at all. I’m so glad to have made a new friend in China. Haigeng Dam in Kunming has beautiful scenery, and we even got the chance to feed the migrating seagulls. What I recommend most is the Yuanyang Terraced Fields. It was such a huge surprise for me because I had never seen before! Besides the amazing natural scenery, you can also see the wisdom of the local people in how they make use of the land. If I ever get the chance to visit Yunnan again, definitely will choose here again.

    a wonderful trip memory

As the No.1 Best Seller Yunnan itinerary, the trip is truly worthwhile. First of all, the selection of destinations is very valuable, since Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, and Shangri-La could represent the complex natural landscapes and diverse ethnic cultures in Yunnan Province. Secondly, it is rational to choose high-speed rail as the mode of transport, as we can witness China's rapid development and significantly shorten the time we spend on the road, by the way, as a solo traveler, I could choose to stay in the quiet carriage, which provided me a comfortable place to rest. Then, the tour guide services are worthwhile, which could make our trip have more meaningful engagement, especially in Yunnan, not only the wonderful landscapes but also the ethnic and cultural diversity. What was most impressive about the trip was the Dali discovery. The Three Pagodas was marvelous, and walking along the Erhai Lake S bay could be one of the most leisure time in my life. Xizhou ancient town was also a great place, where we experienced a unique culture of the Bai minority. The tour guide recommended that we try the Bai three-course tea experience, which could be an unforgettable memory. I think it was an essential part to deeply understand the Bai minority’s culture. All in all, this trip was so great that I can’t wait to recommend it to my friends and invite them to have a meaningful trip with me in Yunnan.

    Memorable Golf Trip in Kunming

We are a party of 8 mosque friends who uses Yaso Trip services for our golfing trip in Kunming,Yunnan from 7-11 Sept 2025.We must say that we are pleased of their services from the time of obtaining quotation until the day we were sent to Kunming International Airport.Credit must be given to Justin whom I dealt with.He was professional in his works and during negotiations of the pricing. The quote he gave was very competitive and we are happy with the price Yaso offered us.We opted for a lower star hotel to save cost but we are happy with Kyriad Hotel provided to us.The tour agent Jane was also hardworking and tried her best to fulfill our needs. The Halal restaurants that she recommended us were also good and the food were tasty. The golf arrangements were also very good and we got the play at the top 3 golf courses that we requested to play. The bus driver was also courteous and skillful. We had a very good time in Kunming and strongly recommend Yaso Trip Travel Agent.

    Great time in Lijiang

Overall, we had a great time in Lijiang. The experience with our tour guide, Xiao Wu, was amazing. We didn't just enjoy ourselves, we also learned a lot about the history of Lijiang and China. She was very knowledgeable. The driver was punctual and helpful and the van was very comfortable too. All places we were brought to were very delicious. They followed our request to go only the Halal restaurants. We really appreciate that all the food was pre-ordered, so it was ready by the time we reached the restaurant. Highly recommend Yaso Trip for everyone!
