    Huangshan Mountain Exploration

Highlights: Begin-to-Believe Peak, West Sea Grand Canyon, Dispelling Cloud Pavilion, Bright Summit
Walking Distance: Approx. 7–9 km / 5–6 hours at a leisure pace

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive about 80 km (1.5 hours) to the foot of Mount Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking scenery.

To save time and energy, take a park bus to Yungu Temple and then a cableway up to the North Sea Scenic Area, famous for precipitous peaks, giant pine trees, and panoramic views. Start your hike at Begin-to-Believe Peak (1668m), where you can enjoy cloud seas and distant vistas. Continue for about one hour to Dispelling Cloud Pavilion, overlooking the stunning West Sea Grand Canyon. Hike down along the stone steps into the canyon, experiencing Avatar-like rock formations, sheer cliffs, bizarre stones, and tenacious pine trees. The hike from Dispelling Cloud Pavilion to the First Ring takes about 2 hours before returning to the starting point.

For beginners, children, or senior travelers, the route can be adjusted according to your fitness and comfort. If time and energy allow, visit the Sky Sea Scenic Area, enjoy the sunset from Bright Summit (1840m), and see the impressive Flying-over Rock. Overnight accommodation will be on the mountain.

    Tips:

    1. Pack a small overnight bag; your large luggage stays in the city hotel.

    2. Wear comfortable hiking shoes due to many stone steps.

    3. Hiking routes are tailored based on fitness levels—communicate any concerns to your guide.

    4. The West Sea Grand Canyon is closed from December to late March due to snow and ice.
